Star Wars Battlefront II Mods: Rhen Var: Trenches | Trench War

In this video I'm going to be playing through Rhen Var: Trenches, the first map in the Trench War mappack by kiprobin. As with all maps in this pack, Rhen Var: Trenches offers players with intense, walker based combat in a similar vein to Battlefront 2015's flagship Walker Assault game mode. The map finds the Rebel Alliance dug in deep on Rhen Var and struggling to defend its remote outpost in the frozen tundra from the Galactic Empire's ground forces and the imposing AT-AT walkers which draw ever closer as the battle wages on. The map utilises stock sides with Luke Skywalker as the hero unit for the Rebellion, and Darth Vader as support for the Galactic Empire.
Pros:
+ Large map with lots of cover and vehicles, offering multiple forms of combat (aerial combat, long range sniping and vehicular combat, close quarters trench warfare etc.)
+ Good map layout and AI pathing - lots of trench combat with AI!
+ Well balanced and provides a nice challenge when playing as either side
Cons:
- Map size could be altered to compensate for the large areas of open space around the map
- X-Wings often do not spawn in again after crashing
- No custom sides

Star wars battlefront 2 2005 is one of my favorite games of all time and im glad people are still making videos about it

The OG BF2 will never die....
Trench War is just perfect! I love how the mod captures the feeling of impending doom as you see walkers tower over you, about to unleash all hell as troopers charge to finish you off, as well as the thrill of charging into enemy gunfire and facing down the defenses! Rhen Var: Trenches is one of my favorites for sure!

Make sure you credit Samuel Kim for the Arc Trooper theme, I was on his channel yesterday and he seemed very firm on getting credit. Awesome mod!

I had it recommended to me, so had go and give it a look. Really fun map pack so far, I'm always a sucker for these larger scale battles.
I love these new openings and class "readouts", I have to say. Very exciting. Love the use of music from Clone Wars (2003).

XL is such a good mode, those massive scale battles are definitely the best way to play
How do you make the hero come out without you using it? And a way for the two heroes to come out without mods, they don't come out in instant action
really quick question I am new to modding. I loved the white vader mod. I added that WOW folder into addon but it is not working like the video. I was wondering if anyone could help? thank you in advnace

So I can't get my STBF2 mods to load. I see the maps in my instant action list, but when I select them to play, they don't open? Anyone had a similar problem coming back to this game?

star wars battlefront 1 and 2 old are much smaller than the current ones in my opinion
