This is the Red vs Blue Breakout test map for JimmyAngler's upcoming Battlefront Halation mod, based on Halo 5's Breakout.
Summary:
Breakout is a small taste of what's to come in JimmyAngler's long awaited Halo/SWBF2 crossover total conversion mod, Battlefront Halation. Seeming a match made in heaven, a crossover between Halo and the gameplay of Star Wars: Battlefront 2 has a lot of fans, including myself, excited. This little map is well put together, if a little basic, but successfully channels it's source material. There are two new Spartan sides: Red and Blue, based on the two sides from Halo's multiplayer and RoosterTeeth's successful online series. There's a whole selection of new units for both sides including the Rifleman, Heavy, Sharpshooter, Medic, SpecOps and Beserker. To accompany all these new units are a whole host of weapons based on their Halo counterparts such as the MASB Assault Rifle, SRS99-AM Sniper Rifle, BR55 Battle Rifle, M392 DMR, M6 Magnum and the M739 SAW.
The new models for the weapons in third and first person, and those for the Spartans themselves, are well made and accurate to the source material. The map is equally fun to play in both first and third person, with the new, fully animated, first-person HUD really selling the experience along with the new music.
There's no game breaking bugs, but there's definite room for improvement with some floating icons present and some weapons lacking visual FX, and the addition of some sort of melee system would work great.
+ Well made map and support for 100v100 Team DM and 1-Flag CTF
+ Great new models for Halo weapons and the Spartans
+ Shows a lot of promise for the first release of Battlefront Halation
- A few minor bugs present including floating icons and visual glitch when carrying the flag in 1-Flag CTF
- Map could do with some improvement, perhaps by introducing some dynamics with some platforms and indoor sections like in its Halo 5 namesake

I've been noticing that newer mods are adding in reload animations to the First Person aspect, and I think that's cool. It gives the game some live to it

i hope there will be a shadow of malavence mod map or a space coursant revenge of the sith mod map and has campaign mode where it recreates anakin and obi wan trying to rescue palpatine.

+sniper5880 Not really. I mean each weapon feels different but there's still a lot of SWBF2 weapon mechanics in there.
Finally, something to play in the revived multiplayer.

Love your vids, do you know how to get rid of the graphical glitches when on outdoor maps? Ever since I got my new laptop the textures get messed up. Thanks

Who tf came up with this mod, if want to play halo, then play halo, don't contaminate our battlefront!
