Same. I thought Halo Wars was going to be a Battlefield clone when the announcement trailer dropped. The RTS is cool and all, but honestly would have preferred this. :P

As an RTS fan, I'm glad we got Halo Wars, but for the life of me I still can't comprehend why 343 Industries won't make a Battlefield clone covering Human-Covie War instead of trying to push the narrative and keep failing. If we're being pragmatic, BF-type game today probably lend well for online/service system and microtransactions too, so the game ongoing costs could sustain itself.

@@Unit076 Even better: Why not a Battlezone type Halo game? An RTS/FPS hybrid would be so badass. Therefore you'd be bridging the gap between the Halo Wars spin offs and the main FPS series

Incredible that this worked so well as a re-skin of the Tantive IV map

As impressed as I am by the sides, I'm honestly even more impressed by how well the Tantive IV was used to bring the Piller of Autumn to life

@@eduesproI don’t think their’s modding on the OG xbox version, but the steam version is and it’s 10 bucks when it isn’t on sale. Usually it drops below 5 bucks

I love the use of Mark IV for Chief, hands down the best looking spartan armor.

I always get reminded of battlefront 2. When I play Halo reach campaign when you play as the saber jet and take down the corvet that's why I've always wanted a Halo game with the same gameplay as original battlefront 2 it would have been so awesome

This mod is almost perfect, it's just missing ODST and elites with cloaking abilities and energy swords like the ones in the silent cartographer mission. Overall I hope I get to play this at least once. Regards, E. Doza M.D.

We need a LOT more modern games that make you feel like you're a single foot soldier in a huge, dynamic battle. Fuck photorealistic graphics, I want 1000 NPCs all in-scene battling each other and pursuing a wide variety of objectives independent of the player.

I know it's balanced to make it playable but is there an Immersion setting so the Elites are tougher to kill and will curb stomp you if you don't have a squad of marines shooting at them?

Alot of the unsc weapons seem op id have fun in particular the rocket launcher launch at the feet even if they fly you can quickly finish them off with the pistol

So awesome, is there any way to mod the droideka shields for the elites? If you could tone it WAY down, because the droidekas had so much health. That would be sick. Maybe give the elites less base health to balance for recharging shields

They do have shields, it's just not represented very well visually or audibly

I think this would have been way way better with the classic Halo CE graphics

Really desires ODST for spec ops role. Also DMR feels a bit too huge for proper scaling. Not sure

This is very cool! Though it's a shame this uses the Anniversary graphics instead of the original, that would make it even better.

Yeah I was trying to figure out what made Cheif special. Heroes are all either jedi/sith or have unique weapons and powers. He just seems to be a tankier default marine here. I'd say a cool power (though maybe not possible in this engine) would be to let Chief pick up weapons (basically switching his class) by interacting with dead bodies of allies/enemies.
