Fun fact, and something I didn’t think about/notice till just now. The fight between Shin and Sabine in the first episode of Ahsoka was the first live action lightsaber fight between 2 women. Also, I never felt there was anything romantically going on between Ezra and Sabine, besides Ezra flirting with her when he first met her. That’s why I’m in the Sabine and Shin shipping camp, which would also be the first gay/lesbian couple on screen in star wars, and makes sense for those 2 characters, cause they’re both not very “girly”, and if Thrawn ends up killing Baylan for actually not killing Ahsoka off, Shin could very likely join Sabine and Ezra to get revenge on Thrawn, and/or continue Baylan’s cause in some way, depending on what that ends up being. And Sabine and Shin both have that rebelish, stubborn, and dark tendency nature, the latter Shin more than Sabine of course, so I think they could compliment each other well, learning a lot together and from each other. I don’t know if Dave would go there, but I’d love to see it, not for the sake of representation at all, which I don’t care about, but because it could actually make sense for the characters and the story.

Lars really outdid himself as Thrawn, truly menacing and calculated. Just perfect and it's only gonna get better

what i want to know....at the very end, thrawn said he wants to know everything about ahsoka, including her master... if thrawn finds out that her master was anakin, will he freak out? he knows how strong vader was and if he teached ahsoka, things will change in thrawns plans.

The book Thrawn Alliances dives into this. He met Anakin during one of his missions in the Clone Wars and later, while working with Vader, he figured out he was Anakin, based on his strategies and flying abilities. He hinted this to Vader, but Vader never admitted they are the same and kept sayin "Anakin Skywalker is dead". But in the book it is clear that Thrawn knows, despite Vader's denial. @@TheArrowedKnee

The Star Destroyer is the Chimera which was Thrawn's ship in Rebels (and the Heir to the Empire trilogy by Timothy Zahn). In Rebels he had a Chimera painted on the underside of Star Destroyer. That was the ship that the Purgill latched onto and jumped away at the end of the Battle of Lothal.

I know what you mean when I hadn't seen my mother for over 13 years and when I saw her I was like Ezra and Sabine just frozen before we finally hugged each other. Emotions are something that is not always predictable. Maybe we might see a Gonk while they're loading those caskets on to the Chimaera? @@remoterebels2

Right!! For us, we have watched Ezra and Sabine and their chemistry in animation and now here are these two actors that have to make us believe they've been doing this the whole time and I think they are doing at great job like you said. Thrawn makes me soooo happy!!! Greetings from Texas.

6:34 To get more of Mother Talzin's story you could read the "Son of Dathomir" comic which is one of the 10 clone wars arcs (from planned seasons 7 and 8) which Disney cancelled after taking over star wars. Screen Rant has a list on their website with 9 of the 10 arcs and their description, with only the arc missing where Plo Koon takes a little Ahsoka from her village to the jedi temple to become a jedi.

Your reactions are always so much fun. This is really made me want to go and read all three Thrawn trilogies (2x Cannon 1x Legends). So bottom line we don’t know who Enoch is aside from being Thrawn’s right hand/captain of the guard. We also don’t know what Thrawn offered the Nightsisters in return for his army of Night Troopers. We do know that Thrawn met Darth Vader, in one of the books from the first Disney Canon trilogy that got released between rebels. S3- S4, I think it was in the book treason if memory serves, but I’m working from memory right now. Really enjoyed hearing Ezra‘s theme as him and Sabina hugging it out. not to mention the chimera (Thrawn’s star destroyer) Overall, I really enjoyed this episode, and it was great to see Lars back in the role again. Only this time in live action, which made it that ever so much sweeter. Right now, Ezra looks like nomad Jedi Jesus or nomad Jedi Moses, I’m here for it and I’m not even religious 🤣 Anyway Lass’ I hope you’re both are doing okay like? I’m glad Disney decided to announce that Star Wars celebration this year, there was so much speculation for like a year or two that it got ridiculous so I guess they were like well fuck it 🤣 Seeing how he is in motion, though, wow, my brain like 02:00 in the morning my time couldn’t even compute what was going on because I thought I was going to have an aneurysm in my own bed I was that excited. Again, I just want that front of the chimera shot with the nightsister temple as a poster. Ezra definitely looks like his dad, definitely looking forward to the last two episodes. Unpopular opinion: I like the Thrawn from the books (Timothy Zahn's latest book trilogy in particular - Thrawn, Alliances and Treason) waay more than the version of Thrawn from Rebels and now Ahsoka. I watched Rebels after I read the books and I was a bit disappointed with him, although everyone loves him in Rebels. He was more of an antihero in the books, compared to Rebels where he is a straight up evil villain. In the books he strategizes in such a way that loss of life is minimized, on either side. He will never kill unless there is no other way around it, unlike here. The version from the books makes me sympathize with him all the way. I get it, too much moral ambiguity and complexity was perhaps unnecessary in an animated series made for a younger audience, but now the same version of evil Thrawn is in the Ahsoka series. I wish they would've went with the books version.

I love the worldbuilding of this episode. We can run with this new galaxy and create so many new stories, mini series, and so on. But as an episode itself I'm "meh". We got mostly mysterious coded statements like in anime when they go, "Use 'it' now" and don't actually explain things so we got way more questions than answers and the series is ending soon... and to top it off Baylan is super interesting and I'm slowly more interested in him and his backstory + Shin than Thrawn and all that, but since Ray has passed away it's now or never. I'd give the episode a 2/10 as an episode, and a 9/10 in worldbuilding potential for future projects, so all in all I'd give it like 6/10 personally. I do appreciate that we got Ezra and Thrawn already so that we can spend less time on that later and move on to Ahsoka, Baylan and the Jedi/Nightsisters. It was necessary for pacing, but it's an episode just meant to setup what's coming next.

I see what you mean. I think that is why we got a little impatient with the turtles not turtles camp scene. Ray, he is sooo amazing. His voice is so soothing and I love his character. Miss him so much already and like you would love to understand his and Shins back story. Hopefully the next 2 episodes will be filled with at least some answers to our questions.

Unrelated to anything, but right before watching the episode last night my girlfriend (we got back together after the personal trainer thing) asked me if I'd seen the dog bowl... and all I could tell her was I never knew he did. Like how does he put the shoes on? Is he even good at it? Anyhow this episode did wonders for my hatred for Sabine. I now hate her more than I do the Jehova's witnesses that ring my doorbell every day. Her crimes know no end. She's irredeemable. Jail or capital punishment is the only fate for her.

right? most people are saying they are dead jedi or storm troopers or whatever to be resurrected by the night sister magick to become night troopers which I think is sooooooooooooooooooo cool!!

SO FAR all i get from Sadine is tunnel vision, single-minded, EZRA , EZRA, from eps 1 on. she dose not see the big picture. and the admiral points that out.

Disney Star Wars is just a bland bunch of TV shows about characters which nobody outside the hardcore fandom cares about. Ask 100 people on the street about Sabine in Star Wars and 99 will have never heard of her. Same with Andor. Franchise is dying. Buy Rey Palpatin will save the day...HAHAHAHH!!! Star Wars is Luke, Leia, Hans Solo and Vadar, and their stories are done.

Oh nooo. Are they? I am sad for them. I've found that each person has their own "star wars story". And for some, it ended after the original trilogy and some ended with the prequels and/or sequels came out. Everyone can feel however they want of course but for me, give me some light saber duels and space battles and I am thrilled. Star Wars is and will forever be my escape from the craziness of life.

@@andrewprice8940 - I get it... Luke, Leia, Han and Vader will always be my absolute favorites but I've found everything around it makes me happy too and it's okay if not everyone feels that way. I guess I'm glad I am a part of the hardcore fandom.
