My theory is that Marrok was a Dead Inquisitor brought to life with Nightsister Magik. Once he was rekilled, he kinda just poofed back into a corpse.

Think so too, a lot of people seem to be missing that when the smoke escapes his body, there seems to be a body remaining. Very frail and emaciated but he’s not pure smoke.

I love the relationship between Huyang and Ahsoka, it has been great the entire show. Sabine makes a joke about Huyang fucking up. Ahsoka WITHOUT HESITATION knows something happened to him and goes charging out there The way she ignited the sabers was bad ass too

Since Ahsoka died in the Mortis Realm and came back, I see her now (basically) as the living embodiment of "The Daughter". In other words, Feloni has made Ahsoka take on the role, in this universe, what Tolkien did with Gandalf in Middle Earth as a steward of the world. Which also means now that: Ahsoka.Can't.Die. Ahsoka died and came back from the Mortis realm. She (almost?) died in her duel with Vader, and Ezra was allowed to bring her back from World Between Worlds. And I honestly believed Ahsoka died when she fell off that cliff on Seatas! But like when Galadriel brought Gandalf back to life from his time in the Necromancer's castle (Dol Guldor), and the Valar brought Gandalf back to life after his fight with the Balrog, I believe Ahsoka will be "brought back to life" in on the current Star Wars plain by The Living Force. P.S. This does NOT look like the World Between Worlds in REBELS: where are the individual portals? This looks like the Realm of The Living Force, which is why Ahsoka can commune with Anakin.

Oooooooh. That is interesting and thank you for sharing this with us. I didn't think about it not being WBW. I was so caught up in seeing Anakin I didn't even blink at the Vader theme music playing. I'm nervous that it isn't Anakin there to help her but Palpatine up to his old tricks but I never get this stuff right. I am guessing next week is going to be absolutely insane for us.

It sucks that Ursa, Alrich, Tristan, and presumably all of clan Wren are dead. I do wonder what Ahsoka had to do with it: "...because your master didn't trust you". And how did Sabine find out? Did she go back to Krownest or Mandalore at some point? We're told they died on Mandalore (not Krownest), so presumably they were continuing what Sabine started in season 4 of rebels when the purge happened. Perhaps Ahsoka stopped Sabine from getting involved, fearing Sabine would die in the purge too. There's definitely some more history between them to cover.

Holy CRAP!!! That was some of the best "Lightsaber Porn" I've seen in a LONG TIME! I'm hoping that we get some back story on Baylan and Darth Olsen Twins. Sadly, it's not something we will be getting if this show gets renewed for Season 2. Baylan is such a cool character, I would hope they recast him. They could cast George Clooney.....and I wouldn't be mad at that. I'm loving the amount of screen time Sabine is getting and I absolutely need to know more about the death of Sabine's family and how Ahsoka is connected to it. Re: the coordinates. In long-duration flights between enemy defenses, the military uses a sequence of "Waypoints" designed to "thread the needle" between the most dangerous areas. I suspect the multiple coordinates needed to Thrawn's position are similar.

Thank you so much!! I watched a New Hope for the first time in theater in 1978 when I was five years old. My brother took me to see it at the dollar theater because we lived in a small town that didn't have a movie theater and we had just moved to a city that had one so it was a big day for me. I remember being drawn in by the light saber and space battles and I was in love with R2 from the start. When R2 gets zapped at the end in Luke's XWing I began to spiral and my brother kept saying, he'll be okay he'll be okay and then he comes out when everyone is getting their medals and I remember cheering!!

I think Ahsoka will end up being the guardian of the world between worlds, I’ve been thinking about this since the show was announced. Don’t worry about freaking out I freaked out just like you lovely ladies freaked out. Super looking forward to next weeks episode. Marrock is a creation of Morgan, what it is to be a nightsister. I really want to see force ghost Kanan/Caleb I think that would be pretty cool. I think we’re going to learn a lot more about how the world between world works because we’ve only seen it work from the perspective of here’s an entrance to the temple (in this case on Lothal) but this is other ways it also works. I think the thing I find special, the most is how everything gets transitioned from animation to live action, sometimes it may not be as good as what you imagined. The funny thing is, though that Lucasfilm has been batting 1000 when it comes to doing things like this, and it all started with see in the Darksaber in the first season of Mando. @@remoterebels2 I am in the UK, so I guess that’s me shit out of luck in terms of actually seeing it in the cinema. I think there’s a lot about the world between worlds. We don’t know considering this is only its second appearance. Considering we’re talking about time and space I don’t wanna speculate, which version of Anakin is in the world between worlds either. What I will mention, as I didn’t mention it in my previous comment, I really liked the Marrock Ahsoka fight as it gave me obi and Maul vibes from rebels in its ending. I really don’t like to speculate, too much, ultimately, because there’s so much that we don’t know, just isn’t enough information. That said considering how far removed Ahsoka became, and how she looked at the end of Rebels S4 as “Ahsoka the white” it’s actually the staff that made me think one maybe she’s just going to be the guardian of the world between worlds. Ultimately that would need protecting I mean look at what happened. The first time she was there when Ezra pulled her out of time, Grandaddy Palpatine tried to take control.

I had a couple of hours sleep in the afternoon/early evening, and then I decided to watch Batman: mask of the phantasm, just kill some time. So in the south of the US, may I ask whereabouts in Texas? More accurately, how far from Houston? Now that the World Between Worlds has made a reappearance, I am hoping against all odds that Emperor Palpatine makes an appearance again. Not just because he would most likely be manipulating this whole Thrawn business from the shadows (just as he is doing with the Shadow Council and the future First Order), but because if anyone has an interest in the World Between Worlds, it's Darth Sidious. As Star Wars Rebels showed. Sidious later records in the canon book *_"Secrets of the Sith"_* his vow to continue pursuing this power. Control of the World Between Worlds (and thus control over all of existence itself) is Darth Sidious's ultimate goal, and as Ahsoka appears to have proven at the end of this episode, there is more than one way to gain access to it. And with the Emperor making clear his intentions to continue pursuing the power of the World Between Worlds in "Secrets of the Sith", I would love to see Star Wars's ultimate villain make at least one more attempt at it in whatever this next big story event/phase in the Star Wars universe is.

To be fair to Sabine From her perspective she just watched Baylan "kill" Ahsoka right in front of her despite her pointing a gun to map. She struggled to maybe break even with Shin while wearing her armor, what chance would she have against someone who could "kill" ahsoka? honestly what choice did she have? Besides, in her mind Ezra beat thrawn once, they can do it again. and if ahsoka did survive sabine knows that Ahsoka will find a way to get them. She definetly did it for ezra but with the faith that he and/or Ahsoka will save the day.

Wow very well said. I knew Sabine wouldn't destroy her only chance to see Ezra again. I wasn't sure if she should trust Baylon at his word but if she tried to destroy it he probably would've killed her. Ultimately she made the right decision for the situation

@@RemoteRebels also we kinda see that even if she had tried to destroy it, she likely would have failed. Baylan has to plunge his f Lightsaber into it for several seconds in order to destroy it. If it took that long for a lightsaber to destroy it what chance did her guns have?

@@sakisaotome6753 No chance even if the blaster could've. Baylon would've stopped her no matter what she tried. I do have respect for Baylon that he was still very much a Jedi in trying not to use violence

@@RemoteRebelsthere is just one thing I would point out about baylan's fighting style. He may have wanted to but actually engage in physical combat, but he absolutely was the first to engage in psychological warfare. Literally his first words to Ahsoka were a verbal uppercut. It was his psychological warfare more so than even his skills in the lightsaber that led to Ahsoka's defeat here. He then turned and once again did the same thing to Sabine. The difference being that using it on Sabine was more of a mercy to avoid combat. Whereas against Ahsoka he knew he would not be able to avoid combat and so he sought to unbalance from the onset.

Once again you two are amazing, and can you clarify for me that Sabine Wren has nothing to do with the Knights of Ren?

Thank you!!! I got a little confused since they sound the same but the Knights of Ren are closer to a gang/cult and not Mandalorian to my knowledge. Wren is a Mandalorian clan part of House Vizla.

I think in the moment I thought Hers and crew were almost there and would swoop in and save the day along with the map but then after the second third and fourth times watching I'm like yeah it so had to go down like that. Just a little over 2 hours to go until five! Woohoo

Plus if Sabine destroyed the map, Baylon would have killed her out of anger, taking that deal would have been the wisest thing Sabine could do at that moment.

Right? Right??? I am so caught up in seeing Anakin I don't even notice the Vader music or why it's playing at the end. Then the 2nd time we watched I was like oh no no no... You are so spot on. Wonder if Palpatine is up to his old tricks again??? Next Tuesday is gonna be so insane. I can't wait.
