Those who follow my channel know that I have had technical issues with one of the online tools I have been using (which also holds a majority of my content at various stages of production). These technical issues seem to be at an end, although 3 of the Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina were partially corrupted by these technical issues! Don't worry ... I have been working to recreate them from earlier back-ups and you will be able to listen to them on my channel shortly. All are of the same quality as this audiobook and feature 100% Artificial Intelligence!
This audiobook also feature my second Artificial Intelligence narrator, "A.I. Sammie Wi" with the goal of reproducing speech patterns near to familiar sounding voices - thus enhancing the audiobook listening experience. If I have done my work correctly, you will not be able to hear the difference between the A.I. and a live reader!
In this audiobook, literally every voice, sound, and note of music was produced and synchronized using Artificial Intelligence. Whilst this is currently a long & difficult process, that will change as I become more seasoned utilizing the technology. I hope you enjoy the audiobook!

Story Line:
On the planet Orsis, a young Maul is being trained in the ways of combat via the Orsis Academy. His Master, Darth Sidious, and his Academy overseer, Trezza, force him to rely solely on his own physical abilities rather than in his power in the Force. However, Maul's reluctance gives way to few displays of Force power to his fellow combat students, such as the Mandalorian Meltch Krakko. Krakko, who hates Maul for concealing his abilities and being so deceitful about it, travels to Maul's homeworld of Dathomir to inform Mother Talzin of Maul's whereabouts, as he was a Nightbrother whose own mother, Kycina, gave him away to an unknown but influential man years earlier when Maul was an infant. Talzin travels with a bodyguard escort over to Orsis to abduct Maul and bring him back to Dathomir as a slave. However, at the same time, Krakko had made a deal with a warlord named Osika Kirske, who wants to abduct the Dathomiri.
Talzin and her bodyguards abduct Maul and bring him up to the Orsis Orbital Facility to travel back to Dathomir, when Osika Kirske's men attack them, killing one of Talzin's three personal bodyguards and injuring Talzin herself. Thanks to Maul, who believes that Talzin and her guards, and the mercenaries, are a test by Darth Sidious, they manage to fight past the warlord's mercenaries and make it to Talzin's ship. With many mercenaries dead, and Kirske and his surviving men escaping in the ensuing conflict, Sidious appears before Maul and the Dathomiri women, where Sidious makes it clear that Maul is his and he will not return to Dathomir as a slave. With that, Talzin and her guards leave with nothing gained, and in the aftermath, Sidious informs Maul of the Sith and officially accepts him as an apprentice. His first mission as Darth Maul: kill everyone at the Orsis Academy, since the likes of Krakko, who Sidious informs Maul as being the one who sold him out to Talzin, and Trezza know too much of Maul's nature. After Sidious assures Maul that he will deal with Kirske himself, Darth Maul reluctantly accepts the mission to kill everyone at the academy.

Thank, this was amazing!! Really well made. Cool to hear Sidious conversing. There are almost no stories where you get to know his inner thoughts. Hopefully they will be made/ released!

this is not EU, this is Legends. EU is a series of books that began before the Preqs were filmed and take place in a standalone universe that all tie-in together starting with Zahn's Thrawn books. Any books that mention Prequel characters or events are not EU, as the Preqs disregard the EU bible.

Yes... it definitely does! There is a good audiobook on KZread about Tenebrous & Sidiois as well (otherwise, I would have immediately followed up with that story!) I have not seen any additional short stories about Plagueis, unfortunately

Thanks for that! So the A.I. voice fits in the realm of "voices you are familiar with" which was the goal! 😂 I also finally have access to my Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina again... although the 1st three are backups and only 60%-70% complete now (they were finished before my holidays)... I am focusing on Allegiance now, but will release shorter (30 minute) audiobooks as I get that one completed. I haven't released anything in weeks, so will do a huge effort to get back on track

Is the story called, Darth Maul: End Game? I could quickly do that novella as I have all of the A.I.'s for it now... but I cannot seem to locate a copy of the story anywhere (it's out of print, the website it used to reside on is gone, etc. ... that is literally the only Maul story I don't have 🙈). Additionally, I have more than 10 short stories that I have finally recovered at 90% or more completion... expect to see these between major releases. So... Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina will have a couple of new additions this week (although likely skipping the first few stories temporarily - sadly, they will require a lot of rework to recover)... I will also release my first couple of Chronological Order videos, focusing on combining every Star Wars work (multiple types, Canon & EU)...

Great work... but the alarms get to be annoying. They are designed to drive people from burning buildings and are hard to ignore while concentrating on the story. The lasers, too, imho. The rest is top notch.

Nice spotting of a detail I also found interesting! I suspect due to Meltch's poor treatment of him at a young age, Maul developed an intense dislike for Mandalorians... fueling his desire to conquer them 🤔

The audio needs a de-ser treatment. A compresser and a 10 band equalizer will accomplish the same task. Remove the harsh sss sound without dulling the sound of the mix.

I agree... in fact, it was delayed a couple of days as I (unsuccessfully) tried to remove the "sss". Any suggestions for a stand alone de-ser tool? If so, I will apply it and re-release it without the "sss"

@@TheArchivistPublishing I use to do it with rack mounted effects. I don't what free tools exist at this point. My compresser had a pre/out (effects send) that I would put through an EQUALIZER. You find the Hz of the sibilant frequency. And turn it up. Post/in to compresser. Then adjust the compresser for fast release but hard knee compession. The sibilant frequency in theory will be lessened without the whole mix being Eq'ed to be dull.

Currently, I am bouncing the audiofiles between 3 (or 4) systems to get the quality of the narrator & Maul (which is hugely time consuming). I have been asked several times... it is complicated enough to explain that I will put the process into several videos (with the necessary photos, etc.)

Ohh... that one is coming in the medium future for sure. It's only been released abridged with my least favourite book cover! Definitely, under rated and deserves to be done properly

Actually, you are incorrect. Darth Maul: Restraint by James Luceno was written in 2011, whilst Wrath of Darth Maul by Ryder Wyndham was written in 2012. The timing is important as Ryder Wyndam typically wrote "junior novels" for young teens which re-hashed details from several works (in this case, parts from the Darth Maul novels, Darth Maul: Restraint, Darth Maul: Saboteur & Darth Maul: End Game). My AUDIOBOOK is an original work directly from Darth Maul: Restraint (meaning this is not another version of an audiobook that has been produced one or more times - it is an original and the only audiobook version of Darth Maul: Restraint). So what does all of that mean? For purists (especially EU purists) it is important to listen to Star Wars works that were created when Star Wars was under the guidance of George Lucas). With that said, I also (I suspect everyone 🤫) read the "junior novel" version of everything. They are fine, except typically are missing adult themes such as racism, xenophobia, etc. Ryder Wyndam's series of which you mentioned one (others about Darth Vader, etc.) are good sources as they bring together events from several works and/or several authors in one place. As an example, Restraint leaves us with a huge cliff hanger - Maul in his way back to slaughter the training camp. Without Ryder Wyndam's version, you must read Saboteur and End Game (at least) to cover the same events. Also, understand that my goal is to ensure EVERY Star Wars work (be it a novel, short story, novella, comic, or graphic novel) is produced is audiobook format, of at least "near professional" quality - the result will be many original works! 😇
