I always felt that the "Voyager" theme exemplified a sense of melocoly and a longing for home with an underpinning of hope... perfect for the show.

My vote goes to DS9. Mournful, resolute strength and clinging to hope no matter what. The symphonic treatment really overpowers it.

This rendition of voyager is the best star trek performance i have ever heard.

The thing with Star Trek is that it never leaves you, no matter what happens you become attached to the show and the characters in it. This is because the storylines are played so well that you yourself get attached, like a good book. Star Wars, on the other hand, focuses on the conflict, and people don’t really link with it as well as they do with Star trek

Well played. It feels like a walk through my life. I watched Star Trek as a child - and now, many years later I still love it...

I clapped in front of my laptop when this ended - simply superb!

It sounded like some instruments were missing in places - as if the audio recording didn't pick everyone up as it should - but besides that, it's so beautiful to listen to! I must say, around the 4 min mark - I jumped with excitement!

This video is fantastic! Say what you will about Star Trek, but it has always had beautiful music. You will cheer at the end of this orchestra's performance.

I truly love the theme at 4:03, it's from Star Trek Generations and I have always found it uplifting. Nice to see it being performed live. The Voyager theme also sounds wonderful being played live.

I love the end of that theme, the way the horns seem to chase each other to the bottom, like they're racing to get there in time for the finale ^_^.

I like generations overture as a miltary veteran i appreciate it alot

movement 3--- the inner light!! one of my all time favorites. yeah!!!

William Henry Curry is the most cheerfully jolly conductor I have ever seen :D. There is a man that LOVES his job :D. I haven't seen a conductor that happy since the end of Mr Holland's Opus :D.

Voyager is my favorite.

This things make Star Trek so great the mix with this classic music !

Hearing the tunes always gives me goosebumps. Star Trek helped me through rough times. Greatest tv shows ever made in my opinion.

I love Voyager's theme song!

I would definatly go to a symphony more often if i could hear stuff like this, especailly "the inner light" that is one of the most beautiul pieces of music I ever heard

Voyager's theme sounds amazing but I think it's too specific. It moves slowly, sounds lonely and lost which suits the Voyager series.

Jerry Goldsmith is the architect behind most of the music of Star Trek, but not the only one. And, by the way, Picard´s flute is a classic tune from one of the great composers... Anyone's guess??

They even played The Inner Light! Thank you for the performance and emotions.

The Conductor would be William Henry Curry in his dramatic awesomeness, not only has he conducted over forty orchesteras, but he's still going strong. Even better, he enjoys it with a cheerfulness that is infectious :D. Awesomeness :D. I've never seen a man so happy in his work :-).

I don't recognize some of the tunes but I like how the "sound" of Star Trek music is present in this entire piece (the instruments and how they are played).

And this is why I wish my schools had an orchestra... the clarinet parts must have been a blast! :)

absolutely agree! Never understood why so-called Trekkies didn't like and support this great Star Trek retrospective show with my boy, Scott Bakula and a wonderful cast, great stories and fantastic theme song! I loved it!!

I love it when they finnished with TNG that was beautiful.

This was great although the transcriptions are a little off. Wrong notes here and there in the sheet music really can play games with an ear accustomed to the original recordings. LOL

we're playing this in my youth symphony and at first I wasn't all too excited but I actually like most of these. Voyager is nice but I don't see why everyone thinks it's the more beautiful over the inner light.

Can I just say that the Conducter is the most awesome looking human being on the planet!

The 1990's were the best for Star Trek. Star Trek: TNG, Star Trek: DS9, Star Trek: Voyager, Star Trek: Generations, Star Trek: First Contact, and Star Trek the Experience. Sadly you can't find any of them on television anymore.

I've always felt there was something noble about DS9. It shows Humans for who we really are, not who we pretend to be. It's dark, and powerful (In the pale moonlight). We're perfect. Except when we don't want to be.

So I gather the list is: 1) Star Trek: The Original Series Theme 2) Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Theme 3) Picard's Flute Theme from "The Inner Light." 4) Theme from Star Trek: Generations 5) Star Trek: Voyager Theme 6) Overture from Star Trek: The Motion Picture/Star Trek: The Next Generation Theme

I think a lot of people felt that way about the characters. Star Trek has a special way of showing the good in people, so its hard not to feel like you know them (as we all want too) (; ...I'm watching Voyager now, I like it better the 2nd time. I would recomend to anyone who has only seen a show once & thought it was just ok to watch it again. Who knows, you may catch things you missed before. I think for me its just having the series grow on me. You know, the characters & all. Star Trek rules!

TOS main theme really doesn't need that drum beat. DS9 theme was done very well, loved Picard's Ressikan flute solo, Generations theme very well done. Voyager theme beautiful.

I like all the Star Trek series. I have watched every Star Trek episide, movie, cartoon, clip what ever I can find. I agree people should stop bashing different series/movies. I like Voyager and Deep space 9. I watched voyager so much I almost felt Tom paris and Janeway and Harry Kim were part of my family.
