Great vid Auggy! The Nausicaan Stingers are still one of my favorite hangar pets. They are very aggressive and hit pretty hard.

Do note that the pets with tractor beam have a synergy with the webspinner console from last year. 50% bonus damage on held targets for your ship.

I love the Alliance Fighters. Not only do they wholeheartedly make full use of SAD trait, but their Focused Assault boosts the damage dealt to the target. Great in TFOs to have it popped on major targets like the Tac Cube, Gateway, Transfomers of ISA. Everyone focuses on the target and reaps the benefits. Helps in getting the lower damage dealing players to deal a bit more damage. Helps the other players that are big damage dealers already to deal even MOAR damage. Not just your own ship, it improves everybody. "I see this as an absolute win."

I'm surprised you didn't mention the Scorpion fighters. The elites are available in the Romulan reputation. They hit very hard. I would love to see a carrier build with trait suggestions. I know some traits are hard to get, like Scramble Fighters. Great video nonetheless. Very helpful.

Yeah those Scorpions were the best hanger pads for quite a while.

Good video. Would be nice when possible you do some videos for basics on carriers and flight deck cruisers and how to match pets with the main builds for those ships and why sometimes de adv pets work better than the elite versions.

I run scorp fighters on my T6 escort carrier. With the trait coordinated assault. They hammer targets hard when they cut loose with rapid fire.

Surprised about the pulse cannons! I remember an update/patch note not too long ago that mentioned something along the lines of 'fixed SAD having unintentional effects on pulse cannons', but if the numbers still support the existence of the bug/exploit/feature, I shall try some regular to'duj in my Sarcophagus!

Great vid! What is the difference between the Advanced Jem'Hadar Fighters and the Squadron? I've been using Elite JHV Gunboats, on the JHV Carrier, thinking of changing to the fighters, I can't see any difference between fighters and squadron.

Cool video, and such perfect timing. I'm one of the people that got the Terran Anniversary pack and am going to put SAD on my carrier toons. Right now my carrier has FAW on it and if using SAW with the Jem Fighters, that would trigger the fighter to get FAW on their beam array, right? But I can *also* get the SAD bonus on the fighter's pulse cannon by putting CSV on my carrier, even if I don't have cannons on my carrier? Also... Do you happen to know, is there any difference between "fighters" and "squadrons" of fighters? Other than appearance, I mean. Anyway, great video (Liked!), and I've subscribed too. Thanks!

Yes, you use CSV/FAW just to proc the trait for your pets. As far as squadrons go, we've been told it's a cosmetic difference only.

I believe you can also get the unlock for Jem'Hadar fighters on the Jem'Hadar Vanguard Support Carrier (the one that looks like a Dominion version of the Supremacy, not the Jem'Hadar Vanguard Carrier but the support one which was in the release with the other support carriers - the vo'DevwI and Aspero). Why the original Jem'Hadar Vanguard Carrier didn't have an unlock for them is weird.

I used to have Elite Orion Slavers for Contraband, but that's been taken out, so I don't use them anymore. :)

Now we just need a companion video of *The Worst Hanger Pets!*. Or maybe about some of the pets that have strange powers and if they work or not. 😆

Wonder what the dps stats are for the Gre'thor hanger pets. I know they're bound to only Fek'lhri ships but they seem to hit 5-10x harder than any other pet I've used.

I guess I'm weird, but I just like to use whatever hangar option comes with the ship, the elite variant of course. My Vanguard carrier uses Vanguard gunboats, and I use one support frigate and one fighter squadron on the support carrier. My Jupiter has Calisto escorts, and my Akira has single Peregrine fighters. My preference for theme builds and using faction-appropriate weapons on each ship translates to carriers as well.

Sometimes I like using the elite scorpion fighter squadrons. I know they steal CF idc lol. I'll use them along the romulan hyper plasma torp for fun. It's kinda crazy seeing all those hyper torps just slamming enemies lol

Great video. However I'd have liked to see a numbering or tier system ranking of the pets maybe. Unless your just saying all the pets in this video are the best in the game. Complaint for cryptic, all pets in the game should be stronger as you get the advanced and then elite versions. It's just what makes sense.

The Jem Fighter Squad pets do unlock from the Jem Support Carrier.

personally i prefer the Denube Runabout hanger pets. its so funny when all 4 or on carrier 8 just hold down a ship with their tractor beams and they just spam their torps at it.

The Mirror Shuttles also have Tractor Beam III.

i currently use the elite tactical flyers till i’m able too get the alliance fighters on console

u actually had a missinformation in ur vid (which surprised me tbh, usualy ur info is spot on) : ShukDin pets (if u have access to them) can be used on any ship, even strikewinng escorts. i knowit because i use mine whenever i have tet dmg PEs ^^

Donnie/D7 pets have a bad habit of pulling stuff because of their ejection distance. Their damage is okay, but they'd do well better with the trait from the Jupiter so that you can give them all beam overload.

It's an expensive skill because it comes from the promo box but the number one skill you want most for a carrier is "scramble Fighters"

you need scramble fighters, Wing commander, and the swarmer matrix console, thats gonna get you the most outta your pets that dont have cannons

I got the Lexington which comes with the mirror shuttles but it hasn’t unlocked their advanced and elite versions

That was supposed to be fixed with the last patch but somehow didn't make it through. Neither did the Agony Redistributor console interaction with confused enemies.

I did mention them, but technically, they're still bugged when it comes to SAD. At no point should a lower tier pet do more DPS than its elite version.

@@AugmentedDictatorGames I use the advanced version. They rares occasionally beat them. Same with blue scorp fighters. This is nothing new, elite pets seems to have terrible response issues and have done for years. Were you using SCW during your test?

I’ve been able to put my Elite Shuk-din frigate pets from Tzen-tar in any ship’s hangar slot…

What about normal To'Duj Fighter Squadrons? According to many players these are the single best SAD and pure carrier focus pets.

Can you even get elite pets from another factions ships at your srarbase? Last time as a fed i went to buy some elite klingon pets but they werent even an optuon to buy at the starbase.

No, pets only benefit from consoles when specifically stated to do so, like the Swarmer Matrix and Sensor Suspension Burst console from the Jarok.

Jem"Hadar Wingmen benefit from Polaron consoles. That is the only type that does.

i just wish the terran pets had red pew pew instead of blue like discoverys pets

With 3x Flight Deck Officer with CD reduction, SAD trait and Scramble Fighters trait pets would make a mess.

I have been thinking about playing again and adapting my hybrid build into a hybrid plus pet built in either the Vanguard Carrier or the Vanguard Support Carrier.. Quandary being.. Will the Attack Ship pets fit on the Vanguard Carrier 🤔 The wiki mentions the Vanguard Support Carrier.. I wonder if this is an over sight 🤷‍♂️

Why were snakeheads not discussed?

Maybe we should pester the game makers to give us Ramming Speed for Pets then just watch them Kamikaze targets, would be so cool since all Pets are just Red Shirts anyway.

The Mo"Kai Raiders from the Sarcophagus will gladly fly right next to an enemy and detonate their warp cores.

Keep in mind Auto Launch works better with newer pets than the older ones.

So there is a Frigate that has no limitation on ship use the Yukawa frigates from the Cardassian Science Intel Dreadnought can be used on any ship in the game and beat out most fighters.

Yeah, but the Yukawa Frigates parse weird, like their weapons are offline half the time in combat. They're equipped with Spiral Wave Disruptors, but that's in name only as they don't have the extra damage mods actual Spiral Wave weapons have on your ship.

You don't do a lot of carrier flying I can tell, the first skill you want to get yourself well let your pets use same skills you activate, example when you use scatter volley your pets will use scatter volume when you use beam overload they will use beam overload, this trait comes off 1 of 3 ships in the Zen store, Jhu'ael(rom) Heavy Strike Wing Escots (fed)

The trait that you are talking about is call Coordinated Assault. It only triggers under Beam Overload or Cannon Rapid, and it only shares the skill that triggers it with pets. So a Cannon build with CRF only gives CRF to pets... and if the pets only have beams, they get no benefit. SAD does not care. Trigger it, and pets get both B FAW and CSV.

Put the launch icons on your tray somewhere comfortable and right click on them until they have a green outline. You may still have to launch them manually the first time you enter combat for the system to recognize automatically launching the pets.

Interesting. So far I use Frigates a lot because they don’t die in one shot to the Point Defense spam of Terran Escorts. (Seriously, HOW are they able to spam it that much?)

the alliance carrier only has regular alliance squadron, not the elite ones you have.

Yep, elite come from your fleet starbase, advanced from the dilithium store, and the regular ones come with the ship.
