Trenton's lack of pop culture knowledge probably shouldn't surprise me anymore, yet I continue to be shocked 😂

Never heard of”Beam me up Scotty” but he’s dressed up as a Star Trek guy, ok ! Luckily he knows bourbon!
Dr. McCoy would be the closest resemblance. He would need the pointed ears to be Spock. "Dammit Jim, I'm a Doctor, not a Distiller!"

The coin has some special uses. Directly from the website: Much like the saucer of the USS Enterprise-D, known for its detachability, the zenith of the Captain’s Table topper features a detachable magnetic metal medallion. This exclusive coin is more than collectible; it also acts as a key to unlock an array of special privileges including access to private tastings and exclusive virtual distillery experiences.
My friend's dad is a food scientist who worked at Brown Foreman for a number of years, he helped them with their original release "Romulan Ale" which was a Windex-blue rye. I still have a sample of the original product. I've been interested to hear how the rest of their products were. The packaging and bottles are definitely cool, but it's a steep price point. Cool to see it make it's way to the SLB Basement Bar.

That is cool.. I wonder if other 'spirits' from the series were attempted?
Trenton looks like Chekov. I wish I could post a photo! You would totally agree.
In 1964, Dickel produced a Star Trek themed expression that was known as "Saurian Brandy", which had a very distinctive bottle that was featured as a prop in universe. I can't recall which came first, whether Dickel had an interesting bottle that was adopted for the prop, or Star Trek having an interesting prop that Dickel commemorated. I've only ever seen one sealed bottle, back in the early '80s, but the empty vintage bottles can still fetch a couple hundred dollars for a pristine example.
The package resembles a transporter pad. So 'Beam me up Scotty' captures the essence of the packaging. Every once in a while a blind squirrel finds an acorn. 🙂 Of course, a Replicator could have been used too. But then that calls into question the issue of Provenance. 🧐

Do you live under a rock??? How could you not have seen Star Trek or Star Wars????
I have been to this place a few times, about an hour from my house. Nice old guy that owns it, 200 year old pot still from France, everything is in small oak barrels. He has good Rye's but all of his stuff is expensive. Very small operation.
The thumbnail had me going WTF? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’m 40 so I came up watching Star Trek the Next Generation with captain Picard. Love that show! But would never spend $347 for a bottle. Great episode!

This product is not really about the whiskey so much as it is about the packaging and the bottle. I’d love to have that bottle on display as a conversation piece (that I could fill with the whiskey of my choice, but the price is way to high.
That box playing music is pretty cool
Thank you Trenton for introducing me to the Captains table private reserve. I went to the site and signed up for the release of batch #3 to be notified in May of 2024. I am a Treckie and grew up in the late 60's and 70's watching every episode of the original Star Trek Starring Wikkiam Shatner as Captain Kirk and Leinard Nemoy as Spock Deforest Kekky as " Bones" Dr. McCoy, James Doohan played Scotty the ships Engineer, Lieutenant Nyota Uhura played by Nichelle Nichols was the Ship's Communications Officer. Yes i am a Treckie that love Bourbon!
The blue shirt Trenton wore was of the medical field of the crew, but the hair resembles Chekov!
Capt starts drinking they go ahead and start towards the planet of green women. The best Trenton’s hair has looked 😂 Bourbon me up SLB!
Missed a huge opportunity here to sign off by saying "Live long, and prosper."
“Who’s Scotty?” T-shirt coming to merch in 3-2-1.
Well, at least Trenton combed his hair for this one.
That outfit might beat the bee keeper outfit.
That company also sells vodka for $60 labeled as Romulan Ale in a pretty cool bottle.
Awesome video boys!! Two of my favorite worlds collided in this video today: bourbon and Star Trek!! Live long and prosper! Cheers!
Leave it to Trenton to bring together a "Beatles" look and Star Trek! Smiles.... You both always bring smiles...
You guys would have been shocked at the contributions had you put that bottle up for charitable bids.
Classic Trenton to forget the name of the maker, say "insert name here" and then forget to insert the name as well.
I never would have expected this review! As a Trekkie and Bourbon fan I am so glad it happened 😂
I have batch #2 bottle #62. For sure not worth the price unless you are a big Star Trek fan. You should review their Romulan Ale Rye Whiskey.
Scotty wouldn’t drink it. He was a big scotch fan, for obvious reasons. 😊
Live Long And Whiskey🖖
Who knew "burnt Splenda" would be a pleasant surprise! 😁 Thanks, guys.
Awsome show guys, as always!
200 Bottles available and you have to get on a list to have a chance to purchase from what I can remember reading.
To geek out, the reason they did that “beaming” was due to the fact it would have been more difficult to show the ship landing on each planet.
Star Trek trivia: "Beam me up Scotty" refers to the method of transport that transforms a person into particles at the atomic level and reassembles them at another location. This idea was thought-up as a way to save on production costs and to help give more time for the story given the limited air time for a TV show. And Scotty was the chief engineer on the main starship "Enterprise" in the series. Also, the blue shirt from the series was to signify crew members in the scientific and medical fields, including chief medical officer Leonard McCoy and the Science and First Officer, Mr. Spock (the character with the pointed ears from the planet Vulcan). The lead character of the Star Trek show (the original series from 1969) was Captain James T. Kirk, played by Canadian actor William Shatner, who is now 93 years old and who in October 2021 flew into space for real for the first time on the Blue Origin space shuttle.
OMG! Don’t give Trent a phaser. Y’all live long and prosper.
I think you got a "7 of 9" costume. Haha
There's a country song named "Jim Beam Me Up, Scotty!!!!" No Kidding!!!!
That’s the best Trenton’s hair has looked in years!!!😂
Great job, guys! I laughed my ass off!
lol Trenton. Classic look!
AWESOME GUYS!!!!!
Harry Potter and Spock mashed up😂
My wife and I are Star trek fans and the novelty of having the bottle and packaging would be worth it. Have paid close to that for Bourbon that I didn't think was worth the price. So what the heck. :)

It is OUR destiny to make this video! The Trekkie whiskey channel! We have got to get our hands on this bottle, no matter how good or horrible it is for the price haha!
LOL great episode!
Yep you’re going to get barbecued on this one Trenton😂
Yes roast roast roast, lol!!! Thank you for this guys.
Greatest duo ever.
Cool bottle. I have a bottle of James T. Kirk bourbon I received as a gift a few years ago. It's a 12 year old 90 proof bourbon sourced from a Tennessee distillery, so I assume it's Dickel. Which is why it's still unopened! 🤣
he looks like one of the extras that may have got a cameo
He needs a red outfit. Those were usually expendables during the episode, lol. That being said, I'm glad you are in a blue shirt and "Live long and prosper". In the Trekkie universe there is also Romulan Ale and Thorium brandy.
The transporter was how they would travel from the Enterprise to another location. The bottle's case is a reminder of the spot they would stand on before they were "beamed." 😅 Please watch a few of the original TV episodes. For a movie, Star Trek 2: Wrath of Khan is a great watch.
There was a ship called the USS Senyavin with a registry of NCC-347. So far that’s all I could come up with. Also…website says this batch is sold out.
You could always use the bottle as a decanter afterwards. It a great looking bottle.
That's a great thumbnail 😂
The number 47 is a very common number mentioned in the Star Trek franchise. That’s where they got the price $347. “Beam me up Scotty” was never actually said in TOS, the correct quote is “Scotty, Beam me up”. I’m glad there’s a credible bourbon in that beautiful packaging. Cheers 🖖
I was thinking Chekov for sure. Especially the movie updated character Anton Yelchin. 😊😂
DAMN IT JIM, it's NO Romulan Ale, but pretty cool
Presentation is A+
That is the bottle to use as an infinity bottle.

I don’t know if it’s the reference, but the last episode of Season Two of the original series refers to an off-screen character named “Agent 347.” Batch two … season two 🤷♂️

Trenton's a ringer for Lieutenant Uhura!
😂 I have no words on Trenton today
So Sad, love it!
Trenton looks like the deck hand that goes down to the planet with Kirk, Spock, and McCoy and then proceeds to get torched.
Trent could be a weeble in an officers uniform 😅😊
Dog obviously a Star Wars guy lol
I have seen collectibles that increase in value, and I have seen some that drop back down. The big factor seems to be how many / how much is produced. This being a consumable it might become rarer as some people open it and drink it.
If Scotty and Radar O'Reily had a love child!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Haha same! I’ve never seen any of the Star Wars movies and have only seen one episode of the original Star Trek 😂
Cool!
He looks like the guy from Galaxy Quest, the one who dies, dressed up in Star Trek garb.
Hopefully there's a Star Wars bourbon as well so Trenton can dress up as Darth Vader and try to drink through the mask
