Star Trek Discovery has had an incredible journey from September 2017 to May 2024 - a seven-year experience across five seasons. And yet, in 7 years, DISCO amassed only 65 episodes, in contrast to The Next Generation (178 episodes), Deep Space Nine, (176 episodes), and Voyager (172 episodes). For having one-third as many episodes, ST:D covered more time than any other Star Trek. Being so pivotally placed at the beginning and end of Starfleet’s timeline, the series pushed the narrative of Star Trek to new places, including the introduction of spinoffs in two different eras with Strange New Worlds and the upcoming Starfleet Academy.
