We should be blaming the problem. Ru is the problem. Ru has a history of not rewarding risk or talent. It's almost always lip syncs to your own track that win. Safe wins. Knowing that, why would the queens branch out and do something different? This season set a really bad precedent. This is a clear message to all queens: the runway does not matter. Do not invest in the runway package. Meanwhile, the runway, according to polling, is the general public's favorite part of the show. Why would you invest so much time and money into this if it does not matter? This was a very short-sighted season that will come with consequences.

These are some really excellent points that compliment a lot of what our own team feels about the current state of Drag Race. For as much as we love the franchise, it could do with a lot of retooling. Agree. Still remember when Bianca del Rio didn’t do any lip sync & she still won. I watched the AS9 season & I judged the Queens according to their performances in all episodes. Gottmik & Plastique are non-winners who have high potential to get more notoriety & income than the other wonderful Queens. Gottmik & Plastique exhibit superb design work, huge fandom, & smart cultivation of their brand. Honestly, I enjoyed watching these multi-talented Queens show their stuff - including Angelique, the fireman to pussy cat Queen. Thanks ‘X for Show’ for telling me about the special qualities of each AS 9 Queens, which may have been lost in production. Chef’s kiss.

The only reason why I was a bit disappointed in the documentary was because I watched so many clips of it on KZread before I actually watched the documentary, that it lost some of its effect. I am lucky to be bilingual so I like both her French and English songs. In French, I would have to say Pour que tu m'aimes encore and Ziggy and in English All by myself. I equate what she is going through to a hockey player trying to come back from another injury and who cannot bring himself to retire even though he may have won the Stanley Cup and Olympic medals. She is fighting to come back, but at what cost to her health. Like a hockey player who has only known hockey all his life, she has only known singing all her life. And after losing her husband, parents and brother, the love of her fans keeps her going. Of course the love of her kids too. I wish her all the best in her recovery and hope that she can find a balance of everything - still doing what she loves, but maybe less singing and something different. Maybe she can become the manager to find the next mega superstar.

Well its sad that you only knows half of Céline Dion career because her french career songs are the best for sure 7 of my top 10 songs in Céline Dion total discography i would recomand you to listen to her french career you would be very surprised on how différent her style of singing is in french Much more emotional in my opinion

The film is mainly aimed at Celine's fans, as well as at raising awareness of this rare syndrome. The director took some things as common knowledge, that's why there are parts which are confusing to the general population. Celine really loves Maria Callas for example, she has talked multiple times about her which is why you see the film starting with her and there are mentions of her during the film. Or the moment of All By Myself that someone else already explained. The songs used aren't necessarily Celine's biggest hits and there are many better songs missing but the purpose of the doc isn't Celine's legacy, career or success, the purpose is to showcase this particular moment in time and what SPS has done to her by contrasting these vivid moments on stage where she is running around and performing out of her mind, to her current situation. Regarding the absense of mentioning Celine's money and "luck", Celine herself has talked about it during her recent interviews, it's not that she doesn't realize her privilege but obviously the director didn't consider it as an integral part.

She cracked while performing All By Myself in that clip because it was the first performance after her husband/manager had passed and now she was All By Herself. That is why it was so emotional and why the audience was so encouraging.

"I would much prefer Mirage stay than Mhiya. Mhiyas mistakes were early out mistakes." Mirage fucked up the group challenge and didnt know the words to the lip sync. What did you want production do? Save her for no reason? Then the fandom hates her because production saved her. Mhiya might have sucked in the challenges but she turned the lip syncs out. Give Mhiya her flowers damn. The show is about showcasing queer talent. The talent has to deliver.

We repeatedly gave Mhi'ya her flowers, we're sorry you felt we weren't emphatic enough. We felt that Mirage's one early mistake was disappointing, and made Mhi'ya's overall somewhat timid showings in most challenges even more frustrating. We wonder what Mirage might've shown if she'd been given more chances, compared to what Mhi'ya did with the chances given. We absolutely love Mhi'ya and we're looking forward to seeing more from her in the future!

I know people who act like Nymphia but still comes out slaying. It's a process they have to go through so I just ignore them cuz I know they just being extra. It's like they're fighting themself even though they know the outcome will be good. So I believe Nymphia when she says it's not an act but the process she goes through.

Agreed. Nymphia and Plane Jane were two very interesting and different examples of anxiety manifesting on odd ways this season. We didn't ultimately feel either queen were being performative, even if it could crome across that way at times. The queens overall seemed wholly very genuine his season.

Thank you for being honest about your feelings for Nymphia. Ngl, I think this was a purely business decision. Nymphia has an extremely strong international influence around the globe, and the drag community everywhere in Asia was rooting for her, HARD. RPDR has grown its tentacles far and wide from its base in the US, and I think they are trying to bring in viewership outside of the US. Asia being the largest continent in the world with the most number of people, I think thats the step they are taking with Nymphia's win. Its all about the money. 💸 With that said, as a gaysian staying outside of the US, the banana queen did it for 4.7 billion people. 🙇♂️🍌👑

and nymphias win was more deserved than saphira's if you understand how editing works on the show. saphira got the good edit, the experienced mother edit whose untouchable and constantly helping others.but not everyone buys it myself included and a-lot of her wins don't make sense. shes a solid queen but editing made her look better than she actually is nymphia on the other hand received the main character/young ingenue/dark horse role which is cool but it diminished some of her deserved wins and her drinking that unnecessary immu potion made her looked weak considering she would've been safe either way according to (rupaul to plane/michelle on pitstop/jamal on untucked) nymphias only downfall was snatch game

Something we discuss in our video is the political and financial factors that go into making decisions for the Drag Race franchise, but it's still inarguable that Nymphia more than proved herself with both her talent and her behavior, always leading with the utmost kindness and candor.

A lite read on it: Daredevil (vol 2) #116 shows a complicated Wilson with a complex inner world; there's a lot to be said for Wilson's...misguided desire(?) towards a better world in Zdarsky run, as well as his love for Mary; there's also a lot to his love for his wife, Vanessa, throughout his story career, though -- again -- as DEEPLY misguided as it is. That said, I think this would be a great episode topic!

@@XIsForShow Out of all the live action Marvel I've seen back to Spider Man in the 1970s with no CGI, Kingpin and Vanessa are the most compelling characters on screen. They haven't done much, but I can feel them. The daughters of the dragon is a ready made hit. There's a million performers who could make that pop. It'd be a good look on screen. Just need a proper fan to run the show. In the Luke Cage show the performers were excellent. The writing was where they saved money.

For me the final, wasn't stage by Trishelle and CT, it was damn to risky. If Mj vote for CT the game was totally over for them. Trishelle in an interview on RHAP, said before the last roundtable, Sandra confessed to her she was sure Phaedra was her Traitor angel. And asked Trishelle who did she think was hers?? ! A very deep question for Trishelle, because she was so surprised to still be in the game. And Sandra said "I'm sure yours is CT... "😮, putting more paranoia on Trishelle about CT. I believe this story because it's totally a game move Sandra will make. So this crazy end where Trishelle vote CT, was a real suspicion Trishelle already have on CT but the result of Sandra fucking game play!! And I love that for Sandra, she's damn good. And for me, Mj made a bad move by cutting her real ally, by banishing Sandra. And I'm sure Sandra will have cut CT and Trishelle at the end, and bring MJ to the win.

The main difference between real reality game players (BB/the challenge/Survivor) and reality bravo players . There’s no such thing as owing someone you really don’t know anything. They knew trishelle and ct come from the same show and that CT basically wins in everything he is on. They are dumb to trust them and nowhere in the contract says they should be nice at the end because someone (MJ) was naive asf. Boohoo. Ok, so I'm catching up by listening this morning at work so I'll chime in with this thought/question before I forget and hopefully can follow up with you all by way of socials later...being at work, I obviously don't have the issues in front of me at the moment, but in regards to the art - do we now think that the differing artists are due to the differing sin antagonists as opposed to something like work load? Maybe Kuder was never intended to be THE long term artist on Ahmed's run the way Checchetto was with Zdarsky (or any of the MANY amazing writer/artist duos we've had over the years on DD)? Or maybe he is and the seeming revolving artist door is due to story presentation? I also haven't looked too closely at Marvel solicits to see who is on tap for the next few issues. Thoughts?

Hollow earth isn't another dimension as in gvk godzilla literally brute forced drilled to the center of the earth. You can't brute force your way into another dimension. Hollow earth is still on earth not a separate Dimension but it is divided by a powerful gravitational pull that would tear a regular human apart if not protected

Save her for no reason? Then the fandom hates her because production saved her. Mhiya might have sucked in the challenges but she turned the lip syncs out. Give Mhiya her flowers damn. The show is about showcasing queer talent. The talent has to deliver.
We repeatedly gave Mhi'ya her flowers, we're sorry you felt we weren't emphatic enough. We felt that Mirage's one early mistake was disappointing, and made Mhi'ya's overall somewhat timid showings in most challenges even more frustrating. We wonder what Mirage might've shown if she'd been given more chances, compared to what Mhi'ya did with the chances given. We absolutely love Mhi'ya and we're looking forward to seeing more from her in the future!

I know people who act like Nymphia but still comes out slaying. It's a process they have to go through so I just ignore them cuz I know they just being extra. It's like they're fighting themself even though they know the outcome will be good. So I believe Nymphia when she says it's not an act but the process she goes through.
Agreed. Nymphia and Plane Jane were two very interesting and different examples of anxiety manifesting on odd ways this season. We didn't ultimately feel either queen were being performative, even if it could crome across that way at times. The queens overall seemed wholly very genuine his season.

Thank you for being honest about your feelings for Nymphia. Ngl, I think this was a purely business decision. Nymphia has an extremely strong international influence around the globe, and the drag community everywhere in Asia was rooting for her, HARD. RPDR has grown its tentacles far and wide from its base in the US, and I think they are trying to bring in viewership outside of the US. Asia being the largest continent in the world with the most number of people, I think thats the step they are taking with Nymphia's win. Its all about the money. 💸 With that said, as a gaysian staying outside of the US, the banana queen did it for 4.7 billion people. 🙇♂️🍌👑

and nymphias win was more deserved than saphira's if you understand how editing works on the show. saphira got the good edit, the experienced mother edit whose untouchable and constantly helping others.but not everyone buys it myself included and a-lot of her wins don't make sense. shes a solid queen but editing made her look better than she actually is nymphia on the other hand received the main character/young ingenue/dark horse role which is cool but it diminished some of her deserved wins and her drinking that unnecessary immu potion made her looked weak considering she would've been safe either way according to (rupaul to plane/michelle on pitstop/jamal on untucked) nymphias only downfall was snatch game

Something we discuss in our video is the political and financial factors that go into making decisions for the Drag Race franchise, but it's still inarguable that Nymphia more than proved herself with both her talent and her behavior, always leading with the utmost kindness and candor.

A lite read on it: Daredevil (vol 2) #116 shows a complicated Wilson with a complex inner world; there's a lot to be said for Wilson's...misguided desire(?) towards a better world in Zdarsky run, as well as his love for Mary; there's also a lot to his love for his wife, Vanessa, throughout his story career, though -- again -- as DEEPLY misguided as it is. That said, I think this would be a great episode topic!
@@XIsForShow Out of all the live action Marvel I've seen back to Spider Man in the 1970s with no CGI, Kingpin and Vanessa are the most compelling characters on screen. They haven't done much, but I can feel them. The daughters of the dragon is a ready made hit. There's a million performers who could make that pop. It'd be a good look on screen. Just need a proper fan to run the show. In the Luke Cage show the performers were excellent. The writing was where they saved money.

For me the final, wasn't stage by Trishelle and CT, it was damn to risky. If Mj vote for CT the game was totally over for them. Trishelle in an interview on RHAP, said before the last roundtable, Sandra confessed to her she was sure Phaedra was her Traitor angel. And asked Trishelle who did she think was hers?? ! A very deep question for Trishelle, because she was so surprised to still be in the game. And Sandra said "I'm sure yours is CT... "😮, putting more paranoia on Trishelle about CT. I believe this story because it's totally a game move Sandra will make. So this crazy end where Trishelle vote CT, was a real suspicion Trishelle already have on CT but the result of Sandra fucking game play!! And I love that for Sandra, she's damn good. And for me, Mj made a bad move by cutting her real ally, by banishing Sandra. And I'm sure Sandra will have cut CT and Trishelle at the end, and bring MJ to the win.

The main difference between real reality game players (BB/the challenge/Survivor) and reality bravo players . There’s no such thing as owing someone you really don’t know anything. They knew trishelle and ct come from the same show and that CT basically wins in everything he is on. Ok, so I'm catching up by listening this morning at work so I'll chime in with this thought/question before I forget and hopefully can follow up with you all by way of socials later...being at work, I obviously don't have the issues in front of me at the moment, but in regards to the art - do we now think that the differing artists are due to the differing sin antagonists as opposed to something like work load? Maybe Kuder was never intended to be THE long term artist on Ahmed's run the way Checchetto was with Zdarsky (or any of the MANY amazing writer/artist duos we've had over the years on DD)? Or maybe he is and the seeming revolving artist door is due to story presentation? I also haven't looked too closely at Marvel solicits to see who is on tap for the next few issues. Thoughts?

Hollow earth isn't another dimension as in gvk godzilla literally brute forced drilled to the center of the earth. You can't brute force your way into another dimension. Hollow earth is still on earth not a separate Dimension but it is divided by a powerful gravitational pull that would tear a regular human apart if not protected
