Ds9 is a joy to me. I hated it at first, but then , one day i loved it. Its the tv equivalent of a rich deep gooey chocolate cake. Awesome.

Avery Brooks was a professor of Acting in Theater, TV and Film at Rutgers University (Newark) before working on Deep Space Nine. This was after the two TV shows he was on "Spencer For Hire"" and "Hawk."

Jeffrey Combs voiced the AMIGUS in Lower Decks, and while a very tiny role, Marc Alaimo Played a tiny bit part as a Zandozan bounty hunter in the Last Starfighter. Colm Meaney also played a DEA agent in Con Air.

Meaney has the most Star Trek roles with Dorn as a close second. Premiered on both series.

Colm Meaney played in one of my favorite movies & best performance of an actor in Con Air (1997)

*it would be very fitting for Sisko to return to Bajor after a century or more and meet the decedents of his daughter and still be revered as the historic Emissary who battled the Pah Wraiths and won*

They are all living in my head, rent free.

I believe you should have mentioned Brock Peters who played Sisko's father and who appeared in "To Kill a Mockingbird" next to Gregory Peck.

Good list! I believe Keiko O’Brien should be in it as well, but I understand there has to be a limit. And I was surprised Jeffrey Combs’ (stellar) role in The Frighteners wasn’t mentioned. Thanks for the great video!

DS9 was always my favorite serious, not only because the cast was diverse but because it was so different from Next Gen. But yeah, as a Latino kid, seeing a black man as the captain, even back then blew my mind. I'll be 45 this year, and I still watch the entire series at least once a year.

@@ChairmanMeow1 Neither did I. He was dull and a weak captain at first. I liked him because he was vulnerable. He made mistakes and learned from them. He was also the only captain with a kid and that got to have a romance, and eventually get married.

I remember Armin Shimmerman from the show Remington Steele. He was the cranky neighbor and was so good at it. 🤣

Wow it's amazing how much Cirroc Lofton looks like Avery Brooks as he's aged. If you told me they were for-real father and son, I'd believe it.

He actually has the best line in Con Air. "THIS SITUATION NEEDS TO GET UN-F***ED RIGHT NOW!" But yeah, Colm is in everything. Also plays Tolkien's I guess father figure (?) in that Tolkien movie that came out a few years ago.

Sherry Palmer. That is the other role I remember her for. Didn't even realize she was on the Orville.

He character didn't grow as much as the others, but she did open up and become more compassionate with her adoption of Tora Ziyal. Maybe because she was half Bajoran.

Thanks to DS-9 we got to learn their entire culture, along with the Klingons.

DS9 and Fallout: New Vegas are my favorite things in their respective media (television and video games), and I greatly enjoyed the performances of Michael Dorn (Marcus the Mutant), Rene Auberjonois (Mr. House), and William "Luther Sloan" Sadler (Victor) in-game. It was a huge "you got chocolate in my peanut butter" fusion.

4:50 No one puts Gul Dukat in a cot!

You forgot to mention that Colm Meany was also a bad guy in, "Under Siege" with Steven Segal and Tommy Lee Jones.

DS9 will always be my favourite trek series, I had no idea that Aaron Eisenberg had died until now and I genuinely just shed a tear for him.

You forgot about Colm Meany being in Under Siege as Daumer and Rene Auberjonois in the M.A.S.H Movie as Father Mulcahy.

Yes, that would be awesome. But it will be interesting how he would come back to being human again after spending all that time as one of the aliens in the wormhole. On another note, I'd like for Avery Brooks to comeback and do a remake tv series of "77 Sunset Strip". He would play Efram Zimbelest Jr.'s role, but would play it "cool", like Hawk, & would run the PI agency, Hell, you could have Cirroc Lofton come back as "Kookie", and be the man on the street with all the angles, and the women. Michael Dorn could come back as a tough LAPD detective/contact for Avery's character. Man, that would be a cool way to reunite the DS9 cast that are still with us.

I'm surprised that you forgot one very important role Andrew Robinson played in besides Hellraiser, he also starred in and played the lead role of none other than Liberace.

Alaimo, Hertzler, and Brooks have million dollar voices.

Thanks so much for this one! DS9 was always my fav, so character rich. But had heard that many Star Trek fans did not like it due to it being a stationary station rather than a ship traveling thru space. So IMO they were missing the whole point of so many great characters … introducing so much galactic diversity that who knows, we as humans need to be ready for any day now … please.

I remember their being a tense one on one scene with her and Bauer matching wits and me thinking how electric the chemistry was.

Dorn was also "Weasel" in the I am Weasel cartoons, he was the American President in "Heroes", and he lent his voice to characters like the original Goliath, and later to Tassadar/Ouros in the Starcraft franchise

You mentioned often important roles before DS9, so for Nicole de Boer should be mentioned Cube.

Micheal Dorn also played Worfs Grandfather in The undiscovered country. He's representing Kirk and Bones in the klingon courthouse. That's such a good film and I highly recommend the pc game klingon Academy that acts as it prequel. The cutscenes are magnificent and the story building sets you up perfectly for the film.

Penny Johnson was great as Beverly Barnes on The Larry Sanders Show

I saw Michael Dorn and Terry Farrell at Steel City Con a few years ago. They were fantastic together!

Armin's head looks comically small when he's not wearing the ears and head... it's just how I've gotten used to seeing him when I hear his voice. I can't help it!

Always interesting to see where well known characters end up. Finding out that Weyun's actor was also the Andorian in Enterprise was surprising but knowing it I can't believe I didn't notice. Cool bananas!

I thought Colm Meaney was the first to transition from TNG to DS9, I remember the episode where he appeared on the bridge and said goodbye to everyone, long before TNG finished. The first time I saw Rene Auberjonois was as the Priest in MASH from the early 70's.

Excluding Trek, I know Shimmerman best from the Ratchet & Clank series as Dr. Nefarious.

My favourite Trek series, by far.

I find it a little funny they mention Benson but left out the fact thats the first time he worked with Star Trek actors. Neelix was also a regular character

Always happy to see my favorite video game. Almost forgot 2 DS9 people voice acted for that game. One is unmistakable (he was also in Fallout 2), but never noticed Mr. House was Rene until a few years ago. Best Trek series and best video game.

Colm Meaney also had a brief part as a street cop in the film Dick Tracy.

Ethan Phillips was in Benson with Rene at the same time. Didn't know if you knew.

Michael Dorns first appearance in star Trek was in star Trek the undiscovered country where he played the defence advicate for kirk and McCoy
