Star Trek Bridge Build Part# 10 ( slideshow)

Ойын-сауық

This is a slideshow this AMT KIT, that took me 2 years in the building. Is a lot of fun to watch in how it all moves to the Trek music. You comments are welcome..

You must have the patience of a watchmaker to do all that small scale detail work.

The project just kept growing like a Monster... I did have many problems, like lcd screens burning out, wires coming loose, lights not flashing... It took so long,, but if I rushed it or tried to complete some too quickly, it may not turn out as I pictured.. I loved it..Maybe I may do another,, but I think I can do it in 1/2 the time... I'm doing a repaint on the Shuttlecraft,, will be placing new video up soon.. Mike M

The door to the elevator tube !.., amazing .. If I could part with that kind of cash ... I would give it to you in a heart beat ... It's worth every dollar . You are amazing my friend ... John K .

Technically mind blowing. Flat or semi-gloss paint would have made it perfect. Light years ahead of what I can do, but on time with my dream. ❤ Your editing while also impressive triggered a migraine with all the flashing. 😢 Ouch. Otherwise outstanding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On the real Enterprise ( if it were actually real) they would have designed an access door to gain access behind all panels, the actual exterior walls would contain the bulkheads and the grids for shielding to protect the bridge crew in the event of a leak into space, mabe even self sealing wall panels. Each panel containing the instrumentation would be modular and replaceable if damaged. I always thought the bridge should be a capsule in its self,in the event of total damage below decks, the bridge would become a life boat, complete with propulsion unit. Much like the captains skiff in the Enterprise E. You did an outstanding job on your build. I can bet other would say how they would do it different, but I have never seen one.

Thanks for your kind comments.. One episode uhura remived the from grill panel to work on things, as did spock in Balance of Terror. Also, there is one eposide Kirk states the the Saucer can be detached from the main body of the ship to save the crew, on self destuct.. As tp my bridge, i went extra crazy on the back side of the model, o clean it up back there.. seems like everybody that bilds this kit," the backside looks like an EYE SORE' So I added the window and lights so you could see the LED sreens from the back.. Here a LINK to my Star Trek sites.. >>>>>>>>>>>> thepianodoctor.ca/links.php

Thanks, the LCDs wer key chains, but a real pain trying to get them all working... next model all be just useing a standard lit panel screens, with a flat panel led.. I sold that model fopr $5500.00 us to Relíquias do Mundo, in Brasil. Also on the next one all be making the doors move, with the sound effect.. maybe even place in a MP3 for the main viewer... mike
