I loved how utilitarian the Enterprise Uniforms were compared to the other uniforms

As a veteran, that patch on the right arm was totally cool, because by the time frame of the final episode the Enterprise had already fought in the Romulan War. And anyone who was in the Army would recognize that as an obvious combat patch. Great little detail

I really liked those quilted away team jackets; they were a lot better than the windbreaker type. It's obvious that the UPN executives didn't have a clue since they drove the network into the ground

The uniforms played a big part in making this series look very believable with functional Starfleet jumpsuits that look practical. Also the other versions like cold weather or desert climate clothing was far more realistic than just visiting planets that have these climates wearing only the regular Starfleet uniforms which nearly always happened in the other Star Trek series.

Never saw that Columbia patch close up before. Noticed it has seven stars, presumably commemorating the seven astronauts lost on the Space Shuttle Columbia.

I hate it. It was boring and stupid. Plus it made mankind look backward compared to every other race when in TOS the main villains and Vulcans seemed on equal footing. Plus the wig they gave T’pol in the first 2 seasons made her look retarded.

Enterprise uniforms seem practical. Like what the Air Force would design starting from a USAF flight suit.

It was the first and only time a Star Trek uniform made sense. And don't forget the MACO's, to this day i believe in a one to one fight, the ENT crew could beat any other crew 100 or 200 years later. The TNG era security is a joke compared to MACO.

@@23GreyFox Indeed, Starfleet Security might be adequate for the ships itself. But every ship, especially ships like the Galaxy, Defiant or Sovereign class should have a MACO equivalent on board.

The men and a few women settling down on any inhabitable world to a hearty meal of lizard steak. Merrily the troops gulp down blood wine, mashed potatoes from replicator, while enjoying lizard back ribs with BBQ sauce! Roasted over an open flame. They share the feast with Klingon, Romulan and later Cardassian troops.🤠🤓👹🤡

I would love to know more about the Mirror Universe costumes.

I liked his uniforms too. Not sure he had a rank besides CME on the Enterprise. If not, he had the freedom-like T'Pol-to wear what he might have had on Denoblia as a dr.

Lower Decks and rewatching old trek helped before lower decks showed up I need more Trek in my life

How about the Romulan ones. How they changed from TOS into TNG and then from TNG to DS9 and Nemesis

Best looking uniforms in the franchise IMO. I really like the Enterprise ones too, they are the most practical but still look good.

This series deserved more than 4 seasons

What I liked was the admiral uniform looked like suits.

I didn’t like the look of the Enterprise jumpsuits for the longest, but now that I’m watching the series and seeing all the NASA inspirations in the show, I really like them.

As someone who has many strong opinions on the many Starfleet uniforms we've seen over the years, this video was great and I'd love to see more videos on any Starfleet uniforms.

It never made any sense to not have buttons, zippers, and pockets. Enterprise had the most realistic uniforms.

I still like "TOS" as no.1 as it was my introduction to "ST" as a child. "MFU" was my first love. "Enterprise" was next and then "TNG" and "Voyager" (though I prefer the "NCIS" series).

You should do an episode on the monster maroon and all its variants. Including where the heck that one still of the monster maroon in division colors is from.

"The execs hated the quilted excursion jacket pattern." Why?! The quilted pattern looks better... then again these are probably the same folks who balked at not having Transporters, Phaser hand weapons, and other normally used Trek standbys.

Mirror universe uniforms addendum please.

I thought those jackets few first few episodes looked bad ass, how about the MACO's and mirror universe next time.

TBH, even when I was a 19yo fresh heterosexual Navy sailor, I was actually disappointed in how over-sexualized the ENT outfits were. Just like with 7-of-9, it was obvious that the producers had opted for sex appeal over story (even though most stories in the series were pretty good). With DSC, it feels even worse, but with a leap into more adult concepts that made THAT series unacceptable for younger viewers. Back to ENT: I'm saddened that the series was ended all too soon, and even more saddened that the producers tried giving us too much T&A over quality Trek.

T&A will always disappoint me on TV because it always seems forced for ratings, I mean dont get me wrong even as someone who goes both ways I can enjoy T&A plenty but I too get disappointed when its there solely to get ratings and extremely obvious its there for ratings. In some ways I think T'Pol should have had a normal jumpsuit when on duty, I mean she may not have been Starfleet but she was crew on the ship.

Enterprise are my least favorite uniforms in all the 1966 through 2005 Star Trek's. Just my opinion, don't mean to offend anyone that has a different one.

Yeah... they don’t look sharp... just like mechanics. The uniform that I think looks the classiest is the FIRST CONTACT ones because they still look good and not dopey all these years later.
