The Disco rework could work if they were a sect that attempted to reverse the Augment plague and it pushed too far and made them more beastly. They could decry the other Klingon as being remade as humans, tying into their motto, "Remain Klingon ".

I don’t know if anyone else has posted this in the comments but in Star Trek Enterprise they actually explained why there were “Ridgless” Klingons. As in the episode "Trials and Tribble-ations"from Star Trek deep space nine, when they questioned Worf why the Klingons from TOS looked they way they did in comparison to him he looked offended and simply said that was something they didn’t discuss.

Actually, if you read the Christian Bible (or the Jewish Torah) Cain and Abel were brothers born to Adam and Eve after they were cast from Eden and were the first murderer and first victim respectively. Cain became jealous when God favored Abel's sacrifice more than his and killed him. That's where the famous quote, "Am I my brother's keeper?" comes from. (Btw, the answer is supposed to be Yes, we are our brothers' keepers). It's in Genesis chapter 4. Not very Christ-like, but it is what Christ died for. The more you know! 🌈

Especially once so iconic, and especially in such a drastic way. As much as I dislike JJ Abrams, and his constant visual failures.... I for once feel his redesign, was much more in line with the decades of history. This said, I do quite adore the Klingon clothing in Discovery, long as one thinks of it only as a ceremonial set, and not their normal garb.

I agree with DC Fontana. Romulans would have been a better enemy race. TOS used the Klingons well enough, but TNG and subsequent Treks went too often to the Klingon well to point that a I knew a Worf/Klingon centric episode would be boring because the Klingons are a one-note race. It's honor this and honor that. Ugh.

That's true in more ways than you realize... Klingons are a one note (dollar) race where the Romulans are a many note race. An you must honor the dollar!

I love the idea that Jesus was Low born. In reality, his father was a carpenter, back then, that would have meant they were comfortable, maybe not rich, but certainly well off by the standards of the day

The Klingons a warrior race, the Klingon Defense Forces & ships. It was all about fighting & dying for honor or dishonor. The Bird of Prey vessel or K,Tinga battle cruiser or Vor, cha attack cruiser. Besides the Romulans or Cardassians or Ferengi, Bajorans or Vulcans.

The klingons in season one weren't ceremonially bald. That's a retcon after backlash.

One that ignores all evidence to the contrary. Flashbacks with bald Klingons, and let's not forget all the other wars the Klingons have been in where they weren't bald. A terrible attempt at changing course and making an excuse for bad production decisions.

@@JeremyWS Why? That's like expecting Netflix to "re-run" their own creations on cable/satellite, it makes no sense to at this moment in time. You can get them on-demand on the creator own network. We can watch them any time we like, why wait for them to air on cable/sat? lol

The discovery Klingons should never have happened and anyone involved in their creation and utilization should never be allowed to work on Star Trek again. Other than that, loved the video!
