What I saw was LOUSY writing. She too DRUNK to stand one minute but then can sing and do CHOREOGRAPHY the next??? And we never even saw them rehearse! LOL

I really enjoyed this review. I loved the discussion of all the characters. Will definitely tune in again when the season starts January 4th. Thanks again for this review.

That Star and Simone relationship will be key. Had a couple of disagreements there

If Star i s17/18 then Simone is 14 tops. How does she get served LIQUOR????? And why is she asking if her mother was pretty as if she NEVER KNEW her??? The writing on this pilot was CRAP!

cause they at a rich person's house not a club (not it matters when it comes to females)? cause she doesnt look her age? cause people much younger drank? cause its fiction not reality?

ATL has better odds when it comes to trying to get discovered, instead of heading to LA like a lot of people trying to make it big. Basically there are 10 times as many people trying to get in the industry in LA unlike ATL.

They could only mention the whiz and dream girls as black musical films-movies?OK what about the 5 Heartbeats, The Temptations, Lady Sings The Blues, Cadillac Records, Ray, The Jacksons:American Dream and I'm sure so Many more, giving Lee Daniel's tooo much credit. With that being said I love this panel of ladies. Great dialogue

they got some work ahead of them. horrible lipsyncing for everyone. felt at times they were being shocking just to be shocking. star is definitely that. best acting and performing of the girls, like her character but she is verging on being just a little too ratchet. hopefully they dont go over board as the series continues

maybe they thought somone atta ked and kidnapped or run off the foster kid but cause shes a foster kid no ones looking

I completely disagree that was racism not prejudism. black people can be racist as well. all races can be racist. sad truth about the world but it happens.

I am not a star fan I find her way too much and the fact is alex has the talent the 1 who can write music gets the publishing royalties and not the flashy pansy but of course we will see what happens later on

I'll watch a few more episodes but the pilot wasn't that good. The only one of the main girls who kept a consistent character throughout the episode was Star

well duh the show just started and if the characters did not have any depth or issues they would be boring star has to be consistent , she is the stable one in the group, they all come from different backgrounds i love it and if u do not like it do not watch it
