"Penacony" is very low effort word play. It's a clear shorthand for its original purpose: "PENA[l] CO[lo]NY." People are comparing this to Fontaine, but thematically this is more Space Australia. Also "La Mancha" being a member of the Galaxy Rangers, an organization out to hunt evil, is a blatantly obvious Don Quixote reference.

I suspect that when people are comparing Penacony to Fountaine, it's more so in a loose sense. Mainly because it's starting to seem more and more likely that the first few worlds (at least) in Star Rail is exploring/expanding upon various themes and ideas (kind of loosely though) that were also explored in the regions of Teyvat, but going backwards this time compare to Genshin (but it's hard to say for sure atm, at least, until we learn more about Natlan at the earliest). So I suspect people aren't literally comparing Fountaine to Penacony, but rather themes and ideas that has been explored before (though this is the Hoyo fanbase, so who know >.>). Also... "is very low effort word play." ...You mean a pun? lmao

It's safe to assume that Penacony will have a lot of Christian mythos. 1) Sunday is a obvious reference to the weekend that were everybody took a break, even if someone fell in a well, nobody will help that person. 2) Robin and Sunday are based of angels, but on which auhtority what they are is up to debate. 3) Gallagher is an an anglicization of the Irish surname Ó Gallchobhair, Ó Gallchobhoir. 4) The Scorched Moment seems to be reference to hell, is discrebed as a land of fire and lava. 5) Ena the Order's "heavenly" music seems to based of the Music Universalis, in which the universe itself is linked through symphony.

14:31 it’s pretty much the other way around: sampo dislikes sparkle because he finds her manner of seeking elation to be too extreme (i.e. directly involving herself & manipulating the situation)

Maybe it’s wishful thinking but Misha wanting to be an adventurer makes me hope that he might join us as trailblazers on the astral express

That might just not be too far fetched, since in the artwork at 8:58 he gets handed a Ticket to the Express. The same ticket that every member of the express has stitched in their clothing

"La Mancha" is where the story of Don Quijote is based on, More likely than not that's what is referring.

The 12 dreamscapes, two of which are 'Daybreak' and 'Stars' just gave me Elysian Realm vibes. Plus it's all based on dreams/memories. There's probably no connection whatsoever with the Flame Chasers + MOTH, but still, something that caught my eye.

I’m gonna be honest I feel like penacony is gonna end up being some lotus eater type shit but with dreams and memories making you want to stay and live in eternal bliss instead of like lotus flowers. Honestly I think it would be really cool if it was but seeing penacony I’m not sure if it will happen cause there seems to be a lot of Christian imagery

i think its more america than australia. First, Britain did establish penal colonies in America such as Georgia. Second, the whole atmosphere is that of the Golden Twenties, right before the great depression, which is a classic "Black Swan" event. Third, the design looks like vegas.

I was starving for Penacony content, so this vid came at a perfect time. I am not aware of any channels dedicated to HSR lore and story. If anyone is please let me know❤

Building penacony off of prisoner’s dreams reminds me heavily of Magi s2 when alibaba went to magic school and found that similar theme but instead with magic.

Judging from the 1.6 special program, Sunday mention Duke and Sam more as security threat than invited guests. Annihilation gang and stellaron hunter pretty much widely known menace at this point. For Sam origin maybe connected Glamoth iron cavalry? the planar sphere has picture of mech in construction that similar to Sam and Sam appearance resemble the mech Can't wait for 2.0 story. Maybe Acheron here to consult Black swan on Cremator, the other faction that follow Fuli. Based on the IPB broadcast the galaxy ranger on the hunt for the Cremator because of Holstein incident.

This time around though, it seems like they're taking inspirations from Australia's history base on the comments for this video. The things you learn when you barely know anything about a country. Σ(°▽°) Very excited for Penacony in the next patch (at least, it seems like it will be release in the next patch, but we'll see). Not going to get my hopes up, but personally, I do hope that Himeko is the one that comes with us in the next world.

It's basically been confirmed that Himako will be joining us on Penacony. Especially since she was the one name dropped as being the one invited as the representative of the Nameless. Also I believe it's been confirmed that we're going from 1.6 to 2.0 so we should be going to Penacony next month. Honestly if we don't there's a good chance the fanbase will riot lol. We have been waiting since before the Loufu to go there and really I'd love a change of scenery in the game. The locations have been wonderful but I need an aesthetic change.

The more i learn about penacony the more im feeling distrustful of that place, and you talk about families, maybe its going to be mafia like and there might be something very dark hidden behind the huge fun holiday facade

im so excited for sparkle and all the lore of penacony gosh we need 2.0 asap

I’m pulling for Black Swan, Sparkle E1 and Lightcone, Robin maybe (Probably most definitely) and maybe Firefly depending on what she does. The lineup for Penacony looks like the best yet.

I may be wrong, but I thought Dan Heng previously met the Mourning Actors, not the Masked Fools. Both are on the path of elation, but they don't get along. Mourning Actors in fact are firmly against Elation, only blessed by the aeon because of Aha's twisted sense of humour.

''La Mancha'' could be an amazing example of it, as amazing examples could also be ''El Felino'', ''La Pulga'', ''El cobarde'', ''El Terrible'' and so on! None of them have a great meaning, its just a stage name of sorts, and I think it would be amazing to have a luchador in Star Rail!⌃⌃

I really hope HVY would branch out and do other things that isn’t European or East Asian. It would Give their game more flavor but they cater to Asian standards which is unfortunate.
