Good news Amanda as we need to increase the low density wigs. It looks great on you. And I do wish they dulled the wigs a bit so they were not so shiny. Great tips.

Why do these wig companies put such a dark root on a blonde wig? That's why I love Jon Renau in 12fs12. Unfortunately there are not too many wigs to choose from unlike Raquel Welch's wigs. Do you or anyone here know a color in Raquel Welch's wigs that is very similar to the Jon Renau 12fs12?

If you aren't into the dark rooting, you could try Shaded Sand by Raquel Welch. It will be a bit more sandy and warm but the rooting won't be as dark. Very Subtle

I’ve been searching for the same thing. I love 12FS12, it’s my perfect color! But like you say, there are so few styles available from Jon Renau. I soooo wish they’d hear us and make more different styles, especially long styles! Their heat defiant fibers are super long lasting, so my Jon Renau wigs last a very long time as long as they’re flat-ironed about once a week.

I have Star Quality and I did something with mine that looks absolutely gorgeous. I had an older Jon Renau Alessandra wig and I cut the top and turned it into a topper. I then cut the Star Quality the same way and sewed the top of the Alessandra onto the Star Quality. It’s beautiful and so natural looking. The top of the Star Quality is nothing like a Jon Renau smart lace wig.

I have Star Quality in two colors and agree with you that it is such an easy, nice piece to style…or not! And it lasts because of the bangs. Thanks for your review!

I have two star qualities & love them. I just got the Athena wig by Henry Margu and I think this one is even better. I know, hard to believe, but I can’t get over the perfection of the part on Athena, plus the haircut it great. I paid the same amount for Athena as I did Star quality, because I bought it on sale. I have to for sure have LOW DENSITY WIGS.

You can now there’s a new synthetic heat tool everyone’s talking about

I am light blonde, sort of platinum, and I never had a dark root and never will. Wish wig companies would give more choices for light wigs without roots for us light-haired people. It’s a very nice wig and perfect low density for me, but the root is way too dark.

I love the mixture of colors instead of only one color, & I don’t like the roots at all! I’m old so we grew up wearing a hat or staying home until our hair was touched up. I also won’t wear a shiny wig. It’s like a bill board saying, “ I’m wearing a wig!” I know.. it’s a different world these days, ha

@@lyricgirl45​​⁠hi! Not the original commenter but I am also conflicted in choosing between the rooted ss vanilla vs the glazed vanilla in the Star quality style. I want the dimension that the shaded version gives but just wishes the root isn’t as dark, maybe just light as cool dark blonde and not darker than that. You mentioned using root powder, did you mean using it on the non-rooted synthetic wig? How to go about it if you mind me asking, I still am leaning towards getting the non-rooted Glazed vanilla one maybe I can make it work for using a root powder!

This was just what I needed. I just started wearing wig this week. I'm balding on top. I got the Raquel Welch simmer elite and I am very disappointed. It looked great on review channels. It looks like super thick cheap wig on me. 😢 I'm hoping it gets better looking after a few weeks.

Sorry to hear that Simmer Elite didn't quite work for you. This is a lovely low density piece, and bangs are always a nice touch to help hide any hairline.

My gripe with the vast majority of wigs is "too much hair"....now I've heard plenty of people say, "well it's because you're not used to seeing yourself with all that hair"....and that's true....BUT, having watched a million KZread wig reviews? The vast majority STILL have too much hair.....lol ....I won't say I've wasted thousands but I would definitely say hundreds on wigs I ordered online that will never see the light of day.....a few months ago I was shopping on Temu for cheap costume jewelry and I noticed that they have wigs....chose 3 that I thought looked cute in the pics....$8-$11 each......all three blonde with bangs..... absolutely could not believe the look and quality of all 3.....the density of the hair was so realistic.....and with a bang of course no styling or trying to hide a hairline or downplay "too much hair".....all 3 of those wigs are ready to wear out of the "bag".....lol.....and think about it, you could buy 10 and if even one worked for you it would be $200 less of an investment than all these so called designer wigs....

This Star Quality by Raquel Welch in Shaded Vanilla. You can get a non-rooted color and it won’t have dark roots. 😉

Raquel Welch wigs are either average or a bit bigger than average. They are rarely smaller than average

Look at videos on how to thin a wig…easy and it will take down the density.

About my bio hair density...not much.
