Black woman here. Avid wig wearer for fun....and a bit uninterested in styling my own hair every day. Not sure why I choose to watch this but glad I did. This was so informative and the most thorough about wig construction I've ever seen. For most black women we want high density wigs....which I do love. However, they can run the risk of looking "wiggy". But wigs have come a long way thankfully. I must be honest that I was a bit shocked to learn that white women wear wigs, but now I understand they can if they want or if they must....and it's cool! You're a beautiful woman and the wigs you put on are what we called "layed"! ☺️ Great video!

Their gorgeous....like black women wearing blonde wigs/ exstentions....good for them...❤whatever they feel beautiful in

I’m new to wig wearing and I don’t like how “big” most of wigs are. I’ve lost a lot of money sending wigs back because of that…or the color looking totally different than what’s shown on the website (so difficult to find the right color when you only get a small window to choose from). Thank you for making this video and pressing the different styles and the color is gorgeous😍

Great video! Best explanation of what makes a wig low density! Like you, I prefer lower density and HF fibers. Lace front and Mono part or top are very important to me too. I have not had good experiences with wavy HF wigs. They don’t seem to retain the wave pattern and I don’t have the skill to put it back in. I’m thinking I might need to try regular synthetic for wavy wigs. Great job!

Hi - These are exactly the styles & colors & densities that I’m looking for. At first I thought oh no, these will be human hair and very expensive and I don’t want or in any way need human hair pieces. The very first one - that’s what I like best. I do wish I could find blondes without rooting. I will look for that. Thank you - this was a great video for me. I also love the way you do your makeup light w the Jennifer Anniston shade tan. Just perfect. I do a lighter makeup, (I have a lot on my face but work so it doesn’t look like I do) I think it looks far more youthful and for me the Cleopatra eye makeup doesn’t work. You make these pieces look great.

So glad I found you! When younger we wore wigs for fun & I loved it, BUT I was always so HOT. There was always so much hair! This "low density" looks so much more natural, but is it cooler?

This was great information. I am on the fence, scared to take the plunge and buy a more expensive wig. Have purchased at least 4 others, sent two back, tried thinning two, only to still feel they still had too much hair for this 78 year-old who is very traditional/classic in my style of hair and clothing. My hair is generally short, pixie style with bangs, and I CANNOT find a short style in my color (salt and pepper) with bangs and sort sides that frankly doesn't look like a dead squirrel on my head. My head and face are tiny so too much hair is very overwhelming. I don't want a wig to scream WIG! Your video was so helpful regarding construction, but all of the lengths are so different from how I generally style my hair. Will keep looking I guess!

I can relate. I am 67 and let's face facts, a lot of women have thinning hair as they grown older. Trying to look nice without looking like we are trying to look younger is an uphill battle with wigs. I wear a wig from Belle Madam and a few Ellen Wille chin lengths which are low density. Still not ready to take the plunge to gray because the choices are limited.

Great review of some low density styles! I do wish wig manufacturers had more unrooted blonde shades for those of us who are fair natural blondes. I look like a vampire in dark roots, with my pale skin and brows! Belle Tress discontinued all 3 of their unrooted blonde shades, to my horror! Not everyone looks good in blonde hair with dark roots! In hand-tied wigs where wefts don’t show, in particular rooting is unnecessary. Even Ellen Wille no longer has any unrooted blondes. I add a pale shadow root with light taupe Copic markers in the back of wefted wigs to disguise wefting, and they look so lovely and natural. Are you listening, wig manufacturers?

@realwigfun yes, they have a beautiful Cool blonde unrooted shade, but the price point! 😢 LOVE the Miu style! I saw one possibility in their new regular-priced line, that seems to be a neutral lighter unrooted blonde shade. I do hope they add the cool blonde color in the Lux collection to the new regular lineup! 🤞

I have beautiful long thick curly hair but when I travel to a high humid place my hair is a nightmare! It starts off beautiful but ends up a frizzy mess. I’ve worn wigs for Halloween but they’re so hot so maybe I’ll try a low density wig. My travel experience would be so much easier.

How do you find out the size, price of the wigs ? Also, what if I'm on the beach all day long, how does the wig last through the day ? The band that is on your head before the wig, what if it doesn't stay on my head, I've had problems with bandanas etc because of the shape of my head, help :) Never had a wig before but it's time in my life where I really need to wear one. Thank you for your time.

What is the wrap over your own hair that you are wearing under the wigs? Is that necessary and is it hot or uncomfortable? Do these low density brands also make toppers/bangs? You look stunning in all of them.

Great information here thanks. I’m thinking of changing from toppers to wigs but feel apprehensive about how secure a wig will be in windy weather, or even just with my little grandchildren tugging at my hair, as they occasionally will. My toppers are extremely secure and I never have to worry about them coming off my head, and I would like the same confidence with a wig. Does anyone have any advice on that?

Hi Erynn, I'm catching up on your other videos. Enjoyed watching the low density and new to educating myself of various wigs and watching to see what I'd like to buy. Of all the other videos, I find yours to be the most helpful helpful. ? Are the low density wigs cooler because I live in Southwest florida. Also, I would like to see wigs without being rooted. My bio hair has been naturally light blonde, but now a gray, which goes to a light pale blonde. Not like oyster gray. Please advise. Ty Erynn

You're beautiful. I knew that you were going to review a wig but I had no idea during your intro you were wearing one of them. My first thought was, here hair is so pretty. Love the cut. I'm biracial and have had alopecia 28 years. I stopped wearing my natural hair completely over 20 years ago. My life changed for the better when lace front wigs became acceptable for the most part. Although I'm grateful for them maintenance is extremely time consuming. PU thin skin wigs aren't as prevalent as they should be. It would save so much time. I have to adhere my wigs with glue because the whole perimeter of my hair is gone.

Hi Erynn, love your videos, you're so pretty and everything looks good on you. Which ones are your favs and which ones would you recommend? I want a lower density/no perma tease and a good quality one that looks as natural as possible of course :) It will be my first and would like one that is a med. brown with some highlights, at least shoulder length or longer. I've always wore my hair with a center part, so I need a mono top. :) My head is 22 in. also. Thank you for your time and help! :)

So in "general" hand tied caps CAN BE more snug that a wefted version. With that said, that is not the case with the LUX collection! You will absolutely be comfortable in them with your 22 1/4 circumference! Great question, thanks for asking!

I am very interested because the wigs you are showing look so natural, however I went to the web link provided and was very disappointed as there is only one color shown on one model. The colors I am interested in have no photo of the entire wig but only a little swatch. I can't bring myself to buy something this pricey without seeing how the full wig looks in the color I like.

Not sure if you review brunette shades.. I love something rooted or with highlights. My pic that you see in my icon is actually a hair piece I got in vegas and I put it behind my own hair that I lifted and pulled back in the front, but it was poor quality and tangled and looks like a mess after only wearing about 4 times. It was long but loved the color tones. So maybe I should look at toppers that I can do that with? Love LOW density.. I hate looking wiggy!
