Thanks to the person that recommended 4 1/2. That works.

The smaller pieces are 4 1/2 inches… he even shows it in the video so if you make this and the measurements are wrong that’s what happened

Hello, very nice start. However, I tried to make it but it would not connect it correctly. In the video, 3 small pieces appear to be smaller (different size)

It's just an optical illusion, all 6 of the smaller pieces are the same size, when I hold them up (where they look smaller) the bottom pieces aren't lined up exactly below.. You can see in the video after I glue and tape up the 6 big and small pieces I stack them up and they all match the same length. :) I have made a few of these and haven't had a problem, email me a photo at undercoverwoodcraft@gmail.com and I can take a look and see if I can figure out what the problem is!
