Fun fact: the reason Star Dream's countdown ends in error is because, subconsciously, Haltman was wishing to resurrect his daughter. Problem is, she's still alive, so Star Dream can't grant the wish considering you can't revive the living.

Another fun fact: When fighting the core of star dream each time you break one of things needed to cause damage to it you can faintly hear Max profitt haltman scream in agony. As when star dream absorbed him she didn’t completely absorb his memories and soul so he can still feel the pain as if it was a part of him being ripped off causing agonizing pain

another another fun fact, once the pillars are all destroyed in Star Dream, the pause screen description says that Haltmann's Soul is completely gone now. There's nothing left of him but a cold machine out to exterminate everything.

This makes so much sense. In kirby super star, when Nova grants a wish, it goes "3... 2... 1... GO." because the wish can be achieved. But in Robobot, it doesn't work so it ends in ERROR.

Let's face it, the Kirby franchise has turned Final Bosses into an art.

It was foreshadowed all the way back in Kirby's Return to Dreamland, too. Magolor at one point states that the Ancients built clockworks stars across the galaxy. Guess what Nova is?

@@ToxicPea still an overrated theme. Alot of very underrated indie games have *music miles better than undertale will ever have* Good example is Cavestory+ Last Battle, remastered or OG mix. Absolutely beautiful boss theme, conveys the seriousness of the situation you're in.

Robobot is a pretty great game, although as a whole I think it's soundtrack is a bit weaker than Return to Dreamland and Triple Deluxe before it (these final boss songs notwithstanding).

I remember the first kirby game i played was planet robobot. When i encountered star dream, the first thing i thought was "wow thats a lot of phases" and when i saw that the entire headquarters revealed a face i was like "cool it has a face". But if i were to play super star first and then robobot, this would be my reaction "HOLY FUCKING SHIT ITS A NOVA" I bet thats what og players thought when star dream dropped, i wouldve been surprised too

There were no words for the emotions I felt when I saw Nova’s puffy face invade my screen, there was fear, there was anger, there was confusion and at the same time, there was pure bliss and joy, joy that such a familiar face happened to appear before me . I was surprised beyond reason to see him just once more, all that was missing was a little clown sky-rocketing toward Nova’s eye

You really put everything you have into these Kirby covers, don't you? This was absolutely fantastic. Never stop.

Sam McGuire Forgot?? It's my favorite game! I never thought I'd love a Kirby game more than Superstar Ultra and then this game comes out and I fall deeply in love with everything about it. The story, the soundtrack, the new abilities, the boss battles, it was one of the best games Nintendo put out I've beaten it and Meta Knightmare like 4 times already (Though as an antagonist, Haltmann and Stardream fall before the beauty that is her Highness, Sectonia)

oi I really loved phases 1, 3, & 5 They are so final-battly Phase 2 sounded like it was trying to be clear that something bigger was coming up And I did not expect that, in the True Arena, destroying all the pillars would release the heart and have the music change in such an epic way!

Kirby sure loves to up the ante for it's final boss fights.

I like how each phase is basically a homage to a boss from Starfox.

What a way to kick off the year! First we get an epic Switch presentation, and then a GaMetal of the best Kirby final boss song ever?!

Average Kirby Boss Fight: Run around not to get hit while randomly shooting at the thing that looks hittable. Better Kirby Boss Fight: Ride a flying machine in a sidescroller while shooting things out of the sky while the other flying thing spams projectiles at you. Star Dream Boss Fight: Play as Kirby WITH THE ROBOBOT ARMOUR WHICH COPIES THE ENTIRE HALBERD WHILE YOU GO AND FIGHT THE BEST GODDAMN VILLAIN IN THE KIRBY FRANCHISE AS A WHOLE WITH META KNIGHT DOING A STARFOX FLIGHT WHILE SAID VILLAIN FIGHTS YOU WITH A HUGE DEATH STAR WHICH BREAKS INTO A GALACTIC NOVA WHICH YOU USE A DRILL WHICH IS THE DRILL THAT WILL PIERCE THE HEAVENS AND GALAXIES AND CORE THE ENTIRE BLOODY THING LIKE A APPLE. I started with Super Star Ultra as a kid, then Planet Robobot as a teen followed by the original Super Star as an adult.

Star dream really looks like an angel. Seeing it move and attack is like watching a beautiful dance.

HAH! The in-game dialogue was fabulous! I mean, the music was awesome, too, but the edited game footage was a wonderful touch. EDIT: And after going down the rabbit hole, I realize it's a 2013 callback I somehow missed. Still awesome!

I died laughing at Captain Vul's dialogue, then I was revived by the sheer epicness of Atma's solo.

Omfg I just finished Robobot a few days ago so this couldn't come at a better time :D EDIT: And that little joke in the middle killed me XD

Let's take a moment to recognize that Star Dream is probably THE BEST FREAKING BOSS EVER CONCEIVED BY MANKIND!!!

That's why there's near few-to-none that hate Kirby: despite being a Nintendo franchise, the final bosses seem to contradict the happy-ish tone that lured people in. This is truly shown through Dark Matter and Star Dream, Star Dream especially because of how disturbing it was in terms of lore.

After many years of listening to different covers, I think of this as one of the best covers ever made by GaMetal. Every piece of the cover is so well done that I keep coming back to it all the dang time. And I love what was done with phase 2, how it became more than just an interlude. The original phase 2 does not sound nearly as good imo.

This is one of best kirby remixes I've ever heard!

Oh, stick a cork in it, Captain Vul. Synths totally belong in metal especially when it's Jonny dishing them out. Dude's got mad skills across the board. I swear, I dont know how Kirby games make for some of the best metal covers. And Jonny's over here like a damn guitar wizard making these just friggin immaculate. ...ok I dont normally make requests, but since that synth thing came up, what about the Sega CD's Terminator : Taking to the Air?

I really loved that the game theme was set from the start "invaders want to terraform Pop Star we must stop them" instead of "walk by a green green and stop bad guy" a least the first makes more sense when the last level is "kill god"

This cover is off the charts, Atma you are a one man unstoppable metal army!!! This has to be one of the most complex and impressive covers I've ever heard you do! I grew up with Kirby Super Star on the SNES and hearing so many different motifs in this song is incredible, 5:45 blew me away to hear that old boss theme from the horizontal SHMUP section of the fight with Nova's heart. You are amazing dude keep on rocking!

People don't seem to realize that star dream in the final phase has the face of Nova, the wish-granting comet, and even uses attacks based off of certain parts of Nova.

I spoiled myself this boss fight and I really want to play it now. Kirby's music and bosses are always so epic. BTW NICE REFERENCE AT 2:03 , nice Kirby Super Star throwback!

There's so much going on here, different sound mixes, samples, instruments. Getting it from your Bandcamp passes the standalone test maybe more than any other remix you've created! I was skeptical at first, not having played the game, and maybe getting confused by the complexity, the sheer movements this music possesses. But one time listening to it like the third or fifth time whether online or offline, something finally clicked. This is just about masterpiece level.

That's pretty much what I meant. The True Arena is about as tough as you might expect. I stuck with what worked in Triple Deluxe, Archer.

allav866 I've been experimenting with various abilities, and I've found the ones that work best are Spark and Poison. Spark allows you to do heavy damage from a very long distance, while defending yourself from most projectiles, and Poison allows you to place puddles and clouds to do damage-over-time while hitting them with direct attacks.

He's more accurately some sort of Tower of Gilgamesh. With the closest thing to God being 0 and his resurrection 02. (read the description of Dark Matter Clone, it says that Star Dream *struggled* to create it)

Just because one of these worlds is the real one doesn´t mean the game will be all realistic and stuff. They showed many other cool-looking worlds, yet somehow all everybody seems to talk about is the real one.

I keep coming back here regularly, can't get enough of it. In-game phase 1 was my favorite but what you did with phase 3 is so AWESOME that it's beyond anything else now. That phase 3 remix is a masterpiece.

Didn't think I'd hear many covers from this game, one of my fav soundtracks and sounds like a nightmare to put together. Great job =)

Oh wow, this was definitely worth the wait! Finally something to compare with Light MetaS and TNHGameRemixes's remix! Also, is that Exdeath in the endslate? GilGaMetal confirmed? If it is, that'd be funny, because I was playing FFV iOS when this notification came in.

I loved the Star Dream Remix from Light Metas. It 15 minutes of awesomeness that lasts a while. Perfect for when you are busy with something and don't want to keep switching songs.
