Held at Sacred Heart University, the 2022 Connecticut Class L championship featured to familiar foes when Staples took on the top seeded Darien Blue Wave. Led by a dominant effort from FOGO Henry Dodge at the X and outstanding goaltending from freshman goalie Josh Marcus, the Wreckers led from start to finish en route to a 12-3 win and the first state championship win in school history. For context, Darien was the number one team in CT for years, even this year. They beat Staples in the regular season by a good margin; chances of staples beating Darien this bad is like Tufts beating Maryland
Josh Marcus is a stud! He did the same thing to New Cannan earlier this season! The Wreckers are gonna be a real problem for the next few years!
