Stans DART Tyre Plug | A New Way to Seal Punctures
Спорт
This Video contains product placement on behalf of Stans. Famous for their tyre sealant, Stan's NoTubes have released the DART tyre plug, an entirely new way to repair tubeless tire punctures and slices that are 5mm or larger. The DART is designed to makes the toughest tubeless tire repairs fast, easy, and reliable. Unlike conventional plug tools, which function by pressing pieces of rubber or similar material into a puncture, Stan’s Dual Action Repair for Tubeless (DART) tool also reacts with Stan’s tire sealant to fill the puncture and create an airtight bond with the tire.

Finally, a tire tampon that's easy to insert.....
Finally something that is actually revolutionary and not just an existing product with one change and a doubled price tag.

I really wouldn't call this revolutionary but it's actually a premium tyre repair solution that's quite affordable. It's a new type of plug and I honestly think it's more suitable for bike tyres than the typical plugs, which are quite large and you often can't insert them without making the hole even larger.

@tyvek05 I can't understand how anyone cannot see the advantage of tubeless tires. Not sure where you ride my friend, but tubed tires don't last in the area I ride. On one of our first rides in this area, we went through a box of adhesive patches and the backup tube and still ended up walking out. Since changing to tubeless years ago, we've flatted twice that I can recall. I had a similar experience when I started a bike team. Our first practice, we counted 50 goatheads in a single tire. I made them all tubeless the next day. In the last 3 years, we have had only once that we had to walk a bike back from a practice ride.

Stoked to try this product!
My Stans Dart just arrived. I’m feel good that I’ll have it with me stored in my Camelback. The built in valve core removal tool is also a cool idea. I actually could have use that feature a few days ago on the trail, as my rear tire core valve clogged up with sealant and I didn’t have tool to remove it. There is actually enough room to slip a couple of new presta core valves into the grey cap.

Also for road tubular tyres??
Definitely a quick fix if you're on the road ill just put a patch inside not outside the tube after bike use
looks awesome for mountain bike but will it work with road tires ?
Will it work with orange seal?
In four years of riding tubeless I've had plenty of punctures, but only TWICE the sealant couldn't handle it and I had to use traditional plugs. Using Stan's sealant here. I guess they'll have to lower the quality of their sealant for this product to become relevant.
I’ll just add my wish to those already asking: Develop one for motorcycles and bundle it with a kit.
Does it work on motorcycle tires? What kinda sealant?
How do you press that in if the tyre has already lost all its air? There is no volume in a completely flat tyre. And usually by the time you've stopped, got out your tool, it will be totally flat if it's something too big for the sealant to stop.

Have bought both. Dynaplug far superior due to tool being all steel. Stans needs to redesign centre holding rod.
But by the time you stop and try and fix on the trail, the sealant has no doubt emptied from the tyre in attempting to seal the hole. So when using this there may well be no sealant in the tyre?
Motorcycle version please, as well as listing U.S. distributors, THANK YOU SIR!!! 🏍🇺🇸🏍🇺🇸🏍🇺🇸

Is there a version for motorcycles, or will this work in that application as well? Of course, I'm meaning if they are also using the branded sealant and tubeless tires. Joseph Kisolo-Ssonko Latex sealant is the way to go. When it’s dry, just peel it off. When it’s wet, just wipe it up. No mess whatsoever, and never glues your tyre together. Once used some other shitty sealant and when it dried I couldn’t get the tyre off. Had to razor blade it and the rim tape. Not fun.
The price for the refills is a dealbreaker for me. I never had issues with Dynaplugs and I can get a set of five plugs for €10. (Which is already overpriced of course.)

Good day to All, when I was seeing this the first couple minutes I found it very interesting and maybe to buy it. Innovation is great and probably works very well, at least in a laboratory environment as we see. 1. BUT is that also great when you are in mud and try to push this little thing into a super muddy and dirty hole? Works with the same effectiveness? I hope. 2. Another issue from my side is that if the plug is in the tyre but too many air was out so you can not blow your tyre back to the rim as tubeless AND you need to put a tube in, THEN this little white plastic thing will destroy the innertube immediately when inflated or not? Is there any answer to that? Thank you!
Problem I have had is a cut that is big enough that the sealant won’t handle causes so much sealant loss there is not enough left once you install a plug.
