This is actually helpful to me. Have a nice 1/2 gall US Stanley that gets hot on the outside when you put coffee in it. Stanley told me it was too old to warranty, pre 2000.Im gonna try and make it at least a little usable. I see how much room I have at the bottom now to work.Thanks

The one they opened in this video is a pre 2000 piece when they used coal powder as insulation. Now they use the vacuum chamber and thicker metal walls

я тоже так думаю, нет опоры внутри, любое падение и колба может сместиться, тем более если там есть вода. сделали бы дорогую серию не убирая уголь....

disculpen tal vez mi pregunta .. tengo mi stanley de 1lts original traído de usa un familiar así que no es el clásico comprado x ahí que te dicen original.. y tal vez no lo sea.. pero siento que en el mío al inclinarlo hacia adelante y atrás siento como arena o algo que va y viene dentro del mismo .. ahora que leo esto del carbón ni lo sabía .. estaría dentro de lo normal o no tendría que suceder? Me intriga tanto que no lo abro para no arruinarlo pero me gustaría tal vez si alguien me responde a esto .. sería muy agradecido!!!

hola amigo.. tu termo calienta por fuera xuando le pones agya caliente ? no es tan comun que suceda eso pero si pasa.. eso paso xq pudo haber recibido algun golpe o puede que el terma haya perdido su vacío y puso entrar algo de humedad dentro de las 2 paredes y generar algun grumo o simplemente el carbon en polvo que lleva adentro , perdió su compresion y se ha soltado ..pero no es nada preocupante xq es en el interior de las 2 paredes del termo .. actualmente ya no le ponen carbon en polvo a los stanley por eso son mas livianos .. ya usan otra técnica o tecnología de vacío..

El termo no calienta para nada x fuera .. pero ese carbón como bien decís que lleva adentro me genera un stress terrible que no sabía si estaba bien o mal .. pero bueno .. cumple la función principal que es la que aposté desde que lo encargué.. muchas gracias x la info

@@pablosalvo5991 mientras no caliente por fuera, seguirá cumpliendo la función.. la única parte que es haceptada que caliente un poco.., es en la parte de arriba por donde enrosca la tapa/ vaso del termo xq esa parte esta en contacto con la botella interna y externa y ahi no hay como tal recubrimiento de carbono. esa parte creo va enroscando las 2 botellas del termo.. algunos que pierden el vacío, solo se calienta un poco en alguna parte del termo y otros calienta todo el termo..puedes probarlo calentando agua, ponérsela al termo, cerrarlo y a la media hora pones el antebrazo por todo el termo , lo vas probando si hay partes tibias fuera( esperemos que no ). el carbono alomejor perdio su compresión dentro de la botella y por eso se soltó.. anteriormente en la parte de abajo del termo , tenia una especie de perno con rosca y una tuerca.. por ahi se sacaba el aire interno y se sellaba para mantener el vacío del termo..seguro si tu termo es Aladdin o anterior, posiblemente lo tenga, pero seria cosa de sacar la base cromada del termo.. no lo recomiendo xq un golpe y puede perder el vacio.. los termos actuales, el sistema de fabricación es diferente y la forma de quitar el aire tambien.. ya hay nuevos materiales y nueva tecnología . asi dejalo y sigue disfrutando del termo,, solo es un pequeño ruido y es un gran termo.. disfrútalo…

+dbez What you saw coming out of there was charcoal, which is a good insulator. The real virtue of the insulation comes from the fact that it had the air vacuumed out from the cavity. No air = no convection. Charcoal conducts EXTREMELY slowly and blocks radiant heat transfer.

por lo que veo en el video, es un termo de los chinos xq en la parte de abajo se ve la etiqueta blanca. luego el tapon sebador es de los nuevos y la etiqueta de stanley es la nueva tambien xq no dice Stanley Aladdin como los viejos de eeuu.. otra cosa que lo raro del polvo negro en un termo chino, no lo sabia.. xq si llega a desarmar un termo original aladdin eeuu y si traia ese polvo negro.. lo desarme xq ya calentaba por fuera y le perfore 2 agujero abajo para meterle poliuretano, y ahi salio el polvo nego ..pero igual no funciono jajaj

@miSión La PLata La tecnología de antaño en Stanley se llamaba CharcVac (Charcoal Vaccumatic) qué es carbón entre las paredes al vacío) eso ayudaba a darle mayor resistencia al termo y una mayor solidez, un termo de 1.1 qt Stanley manufacturado en China actual pesa aproximadamente 830 gramos, y un termo de 1.1 qt de antaño con carbón dentro pesaba aproximadamente 1250 gramos, lo sé porque yo tengo ambos termos.

Идеальный изолятор, это вакуум. И чем сильнее вакуум, тем лучше держит тепло. Остальное всё детский сад... На видео какой-то порошок насыпали, это не термос, можно смело называть - емкость для жидкости )))

Problem is vacuum thermoses have a shelf life. It will eventually leak and the whole thing is useless.

От досады бабуля приказала деду распилить термос из - за того , что дед теперь не могёт ходить на рыбалку ...

Эт конечно интересно все...Но на хера его распиливать то было.
