i actually have both of these. i brought the 900ml boundless voyage thinking it might be a bit bigger then the stanley 750 pot but there both the same... i think had i measured the boundless voyage i would have gone for a 1200mill size but I'm pleased with both of them

The handle is one main reason I purchased the boundless voyage. My plan was to put stuff inside it and wanted the lid to be secure during travel. I feel my lid is more wobbly when the handle is over it. Maybe i could do some bending to get a more secure feel.

Just picked up my first set of titanium stuff from boundless voyage. Been using the same stainless steel setup for about 6-7 years and figured I’d get my money’s worth from the Titanium. I wouldn’t spend the money to only use it a few times a year tho, $40 is alotta cash for a friggin big cup ya know lol.

The recess on the bottom has a purpose. It is intended to add stability. When metal heats up it can warp and buckle. So the recess and the taper near the bottom keeps the shape. One question as to these two items: Does the stanley pot fit inside the titanium pot?
@patdud1979
Жыл бұрын
Yes, it fits snug up to the part that it flares up on the Stanley pot. Of course, afterwards the lid won’t fit on the pot so you need to put it somewhere else.

Just add-it would be great to have the same design on, say, a larger 700-750 ml pot. You could put fuel canisters, stove, etc. in it as well as being able to boil more water. I’m with you on the superior handle design.

What can you nest with the boundless voyage 900ml pot?
@SunyJim3 жыл бұрын
The boundless is slightly larger in diameter at the bottom, but the Stanley tapers down smaller, then has the curve at the bottom. Is the diameter of the top and the lid the same on both these? I normally nest my Stanley into a Ozark trail/GSI glacier size mug, do you know if this will nest inside one as well? If you have one would be interested if you can nest a 110g gas canister inside as well. I'm sure it fits since it fits the stanley. Interested in your future boiling tests. p.s. Glue typically comes off with oil. rather than heat, water, or alcohol. Normally i would use WD40, but even olive oil will work and is food safe..

I'm not a gram weenie so I don't care about this being titanium. But I do think the flat bottom and lid ring, improve on the Stanley design. I wonder if the Ozar stainless steel mug can nest with the boundless voyage. If not I have to stick with the Stanley.

The Stanley has one flaw, which is the tapered bottom that makes it more difficult to put on small stoves and remain stable. Anything that makes the Stanley more prone to spilling or tipping, is a safety hazard.

Just add a small square bushcraft grill on top of the stove and it will stabilize the Stanley in most stoves.like the Firebox nano, and others.
