    Ahhh such a memory rush seeing the dorms. My dorm mate and I were climbing inside and changing in our wardrobes cuz we so uncomfortable with each other at first and since we were on the swim team, we were hanging our dripping swimsuits on the doors of the wardrobe. Did they have the reversible mattress with a hard side and soft side? I didn’t even realize it was reversible for the first few months so my dorm mate and I actually switched beds cuz I liked a soft mattress and she liked the hard mattress and we thought it was just stuck like that. Also was it just me or was there A LOT of dead squirrels

    Can you make a video about the draw. Your video about the various Stanford freshman dorm was great. Would be awesome to have one about upperclassman options, and the draw.

    so helpful! Quick question, in freshman dorms, do people still talk to others in other 'cliques' as them, a I really don't want the high school cliquey drama stuff haha

    yeah so they're definitely not cliques, they're just like close friend groups so they definitely do talk to and are friends with each other!

    So my brother just got Ujamaa when his first and second choice was all-frosh single gender and co-ed.... He really didn't want to live in Ujamaa. Have you heard of people being able to switch? He's Asian and has heard that it can be awkward sometimes to live in Uj as a non-african american. In addition, he's super outgoing and wants that all-frosh experience. If you have any advice on Ujamaa or switching out let us know! Thanks!

    so i'm pretty sure switching your first-year dorm is not possible. and of course i don't personally know what it's like living in uj, but i've definitely heard great things, and even though i myself was definitely hesitant about living in an ethnic theme dorm my first year, i ended up absolutely loving the experience and the social atmosphere and in hindsight i wouldn't have wanted it any other way. so definitely ask him to keep an open mind and i hope this makes him feel more optimistic about his first year!!

    which housing option would you recommend or prefer for freshmen?

  • @eleniarizona

    @eleniarizona

    7 жыл бұрын

    i think it's a really personal choice, and it totally depends on what you yourself are looking for, in terms of location, facilities, and community. every housing option is really pretty different from each other, and your dorm experience will also be really variable, depending pretty randomly on who lives in your dorm with you next year, so i'm not sure if i can really recommend a single housing option that is unanimously preferable for every student
