As I know, the VW Citi is a special product of VW South Africa based on the 1st gen of Golf but with plastic big bumpers... How lucky you are bros, here in Europe, Golf Mk1 are so expensive if they are in solid condition or just like wrecks on wheels !! Is the Citi is still in production ? Thanx for the cool movie...

@@carsstanceclass Never big plastic bumpers on the MK1, some plastic after those very early models that made by metal, and those thin metal models were the best looking. Early models called swallow tail too, because of the back panel's shape between the 2 small rear lights, the most wanted in Mk1 models. I had a GTI 1800cc Mk1 and a 1800 carburated Mk2 with big bumpers, BBS RM rims, power windows, power steering and climate mounted, a very rare model made in Mexico for US market. I miss those VW, awesome reliable cars ever... Then I had a Civic sedan with the demoniac 1.6 vtec (B16A2) posed on MOMO Arrow and a Milltek exhaust line, it was the most incredible engine I had never heard and rev. But I still love those first models VW Golf !! One time, I'll return on crafting a Mk1 in green with Roti or BBS rims, obviously stanced with chrome strips on windows.

27:12 Dude trying to sport a Harlequin Edition Jetta 3. Somebody who knows a thing or two except Id use a red car as Donor to start that project. That green is not period correct, the rest you can match...long story. Still Nice though!!!

​@@carsstanceclass No not at all that particular green he is sporting is called Montana Green. Harlequins never came out in that green but rather pistachio green. in South Africa if you want to sport a harlequin you have to start with a Tornado red base car so that roof, rockers and rear quarters are period correct... the rest you can match. if you were to use red as base you'd HAVE TO make front bumpers, front doors, side mirrors and rear hatch or lid in Gingster yellow. The hood, rear doors and rear bumper in pistachio green. Front Fender and grill in chagall blue. Jamie Orr is worlds VW go to guy same guy who came to South Africa to build the R36 Blue Citi golf build which he sent back overseas. Must go and check his Harlequins and other stuff on KZread.
