Water in the right float flows back at take-off. The CG dramatically shifting back forces the plane into a steep stall spiral. Minor damage though ...

It's hard to stall a beaver. Nice job!

Based on past experience of course, that looked like a classic stall. The floats never had a chance to get up on step with up elevator the whole time while in the water. It didn't look to me like the plane ever really started flying. I always give up elevator to get the floats on step and then level out the elevator until the plane wants to start flying. Glad it wasn't a serious crash.

It's good she stayed right side up. It didn't look like any water got into the electronics. :-)

What a pity. Fly's just like the real thing. Done some time in the Beaver/. The first thing you learn about an aero plane is how and when does it stall. Beaver is a nice very useful friendly aircraft with a very high aspect ratio Wing. Great flaps. But like a C180 it will bite you and roll on its back if you stall it and are slow catching up. But its good really, cause you always know what's going to happen.

why did it stall ? I mean why the CG issue?

Thank you, interesting aspect! I can confirm this plane was well balanced and did plenty flights as solo and tow plane and there were no loose parts I can imagine. I could not investigate this latter fact postmortem, though.

Me too. Possible servo failure of single aileron or flap maybe? Had that happen to me once. It's the violence of the move that surprises me. I honestly feel it's not a stall tho

Looks like the camera threw off the cg being way out on the wing, that's what the flight tells , servo was moving all the way down

@@droneviking A stall doesn't dive straight in! A wing would have dropped first. You can blame the float if you like but that was pilot error.
