Terran government ordered to colonise to barely hospitable Helgun, they were the ones, who made supporting Helgun's colonists unsustainable for Vecta and they were the ones, who forced Vecta into "peace mediation" that gave away half a planet. You think it's vectans and helghast, who can fill the role of bad guys here, depending on context?

Sony really needs to make a movie or streaming adaptation of Killzone. It's narrative has lots of potential to ne explored more deeply.

Sony’s track record with films is beyond atrocious. They’ve given us dumpster fires like Morbius, Madame Web, the Emoji Movie, and a Slenderman movie made however many years after that creepypasta was no longer relevant😂

Couldn’t agree more! As for HellDivers, if you mean 2 then as far as I’m aware the lore doesn’t expand much beyond the intro cinematic. As for the previous games I’m not sure but wouldn’t be surprised if they do so soon because of the new game.

You know those stories about the inefficient fascists who end up fighting each other after their beloved dictator dies? This is basically an extreme example with the resulting civil war between military and megacorp leading to a chain reaction that destroys an entire planet. Anyway, we need to see more of Killzone, like a Mainline on the ISA, a HiCom on the Helghan Wars, and Arsenal videos on Stahl Arms’ weapons.

It had 4 mainline games amd like 3 spinoffs, I think there's even a novel. The series just died, they do that. It flourished in its time.

Stahl is the German word for "steel". The Stalhlhelm was the main infantry helmet of both World Wars for the German army. The 26th episode of season 7 of the animated comedy Futurama features a character in a diamond store gag with a tattoo on left arm that looks similar to the Stahl Arms logo from Killzone 3.

There is no "the Stahlhelm". There were various types of steel helmets used by Germany before WW1, during WW1, between the wars, during WW2, and after WW2.

Sort of. The ISA was already on Vekta as a Colonia Milita for Vekta per law. It was the UCN that invaded Alpha Centuari and took control of Vekta and Helghan. I still think the Helghast were right.

It is wild how coincidental this video being posted is. I was revisiting old Killzone lore videos this weekend for old nostalgic memories and now I have something new to watch.

Always excited to see more Killzone content. I really wish they'd remake it like they did Dead Space.

This franchise has been collecting dust for years. It would be interesting to see it brought back.

Killzone 3 was tied for my favorite fps game. Campign and the multiplayer were amazing

I got Killzone 3 with my ps3 and it was one of the most fun I had playing a game on that console generation. Sony really have to revive this series just do a damn reboot or something.

The KillZone franchise could definitely use a remake/reboot a la Modern Warfare.

YES! One of the best scifi game series to ever come about. Stahl Arms was such an interesting and intimidating org in the game world.

Reboot reboot! Also, we really needed to be able to play as and experience as the Helghast more, not a one off end game mission. Loved Shadow Fall and especially exploring Helghan cities (mainly the lighting but really a bit of everything)

Killzone 2 and 3 were the reason why I purchased a PS3 during the second covid lockdown in France, too bad said PlayStation passed away 2 weeks after I recieved it... nevertheless I would be delighted if Killzone would come back from the deads, or if Sony would be nice enough to give us a PC port for killzone since they already port other PlayStation franchises ( one can still dream )

I'm a bit surprised that the template institute, did another killzone video. Not that I'm complaining of course.😊

It has been 10 years since the last Killzone on PS4. Hope it comes back.

Stahl is the true heir to Visari and Helghan.

This is a pleasant surprise. Killzone 2 and 3’s multiplayer was such a highlight of my gaming experience.

This game franchise deserved better than that abomination of a 4th game!

Something people seem to forget about all this military build up is, it needs to be financed! So the private/cival economy behind empire needs to big enough that the taxes can finance the military build up. If the zelotry is too high, the economic power houses will always win in the long run.

I'd like to see future videos cover major factions and/or events in the Tom Clancy video game multiverse.

I'll always have the opinion that what we got to see in the games when it comes to Killzone's worldbuilding compared to what is mentionned in the official background lore, and in-game references, was absolute dogshit. They really didn't even use 0.1% of the potential that the Killzone universe offered. For example, in Killzone 2 the entire game is played on Helghan, but we never got to interact with local civilians even once. We only had one in game scene with Visari. We never got to see the UCN and Earth, nor the multiple breakaway colonies of the ICSA that have been mentionned multiple times. It's sad man.

Given that COD is a corporate shadow of its former self, now is the perfect time to bring back Killzone.

Love to see a perfect exmaple for your own video about how to design flags for your factions, because these arrows say nothing about the values of the nation. There is no symbolism behind it.

I love killzone, one of the best games series on the playstation as far as I'm concerned. I really hope they remaster the Killzone 1-3 someday. Maybe even reboot it, drop the terracide ending in 3 and make a new trilogy.

I hope they undo killzone 4 and just make an other version of killzone 4.
