The album is meant to be played at one sitting. The songs transition to the next one. That’s why it kinda ends abruptly.

This disc is not really intended to be interrupted from one movement to the next.

The beginning of the song was a preview of the whole album. Which is one complete song from beginning to end

Oh thank God I'm not the only one who appreciates nature! ♥ That's as close as you can get to spirit! Live for the moment, after all isn't that all we have? "One foot in yesterday can only bring heartache, one foot in tomorrow can only bring fear, therefore live for today and rejoice"! Of course with gratitude & love!

This album isn't meant to be listened to as individual songs. It should be listened to in it's entirety. Chopping it up into bits is rock and roll sacrilege.

I love how this track sets the scene with sounds and words connected to why we’re all so mad, then switches to the calm of just breathing in the air, and not being afraid to care. Superb track, from an album I breathed in countless times in my youth, and still never tire of listening to.

Greetings from Miami. Even if you don’t have time to react to the entire album, try to listen to the entire Dark Side of the Moon album from start to finish just for your own enjoyment. It’s a beautiful and thought provoking journey.

Just the way you were analysing at the end, regarding society & time & friends etc. Their track 'Time' from this album will hit you even harder, and will keep continuing to do so years further down the line.

One hit of the whole album, as per the other comments. It improves each time you listen. Bonkers how it just pulls you in... enjoy and let it just ... grab you, allow it to wash over you. It's a classic for a really good reason. Cheers.

Pink Floyd are awesome, real musical composers, and Dark Side of the Moon is probably their best album (they're all a journey). Darkened room, a little weed, they'll send you into blissful space.

Dark side of the moon is about life and, this being the first song on the album, it represents the beginning of life but also signposts what's to come

This is a (possibly THE) concept album - see comments below about how it is supposed to be appreciated. It does not make it an easy thing to react to. Keep Reacting!

Naia, you need to listen to the entire album without interruption. The songs blend into each other. Most reactors do it in two reactions, side 1 and side 2. Dark Side of the Moon is an incredible album.

They have always been so Pro. Understatement for sure. This album was made to be listened to from beginning to end. The songs are arranged to be that way or it can be confusing.

This album was released in 1974. I saw them live that same year at Earls Court, London and they performed the whole album - breathtaking stuff

Speak to Me comes first. Dark Side of the Moon is one song really with different chapters of sort. The themes of life and death and what goes on in every day life. Thanks for a cool review. Time and The great gig in the sky should be done together same with Brain Damage/ Eclipse if you are gonna pick songs. Enjoy the ride.

Pink Floyd changes you man. You talking about how this hits different because you are 31 means you need to listen to a Floyd song called Time

Nice reaction. It’s hard to Listen to just one song from this album. It’s like walking into an Opera, or a great play or really good movie and then trying to understand what it’s about when you’ve just seen the opening act. you need to listen to the whole album to understand it. trust me you’ll love it. It’s very eye-opening. This album is about life and with the story you just told us how July is hard for you. You could use it right now. Enjoy your your musical experience.🐰❤️✌️🌼

I've been playing this album since the mid-80s (when it was still on the charts). Thousands of times and it hasn't gotten old. It's really all one song, so reacting to it in chunks kind of misses the point, though that's what everyone does.

Good reaction. But the other comment's are correct. Just listening to one PF song, a lot of times anyway, is like listening to only a part of a full song. Some of their songs are stand alone, but many transition right into the next.
