It's an original fantasy character. She's no weirder than a mermaid or a fairy in my mind. I like being creative. Here's the story I wrote while I drew this illustration: The Stag Sprite of the Viridian Jungle is an mysterious and rare creature. Curious, skittish, and graceful; she has the magical ability to create an ethereally safe haven for deer and smaller animals. She also speaks for the Alpha Stag in the Counsels of the Faerie Realm regarding all concerns raised by the deer folk. She is a great friend of birds, chipmunks, and bunnies, whom she loves to observe and protect in the dark depths of a jungle filled with deadly predators.
