Biff is such a wonderfully likeable person. Such a joy to see him again.
Biff was a big reason I fell in love with the show in the mid 90s. The Biff segments never failed to deliver.
I met you Biff, when we were crossing the street, in Gualala CA. It was the day after 911. I said, "I know you ,you're Biff." The Letterman show, had sent the crew on a cross country journey to go to little towns, and interview restaurant owners. When 911 happened, the crew needed to get back to New York. The crew would have to rent cars to get back east, as no one could fly at that time. Biff told me he was friends with some of the camera crews that worked at the top of the twin tower buildings, and that they had perished that day. I gave him a hug, it brought tears to my eyes. What wonderful human being. I 'm glad to see you again, in these clips! CHEERS!
I knew Biff when we both worked at NBC. In real life he was one of the nicest people I’ve ever known.

and he came off like that on the show. Nice !
Biff and the other staffers became sort of a family through the years... it was always special to see them!
So glad to see Biff looking really well!! What a sweet, gentle, up for anything guy.

6:24 😂 The amount of double takes, reactions, confusion, Paul cracking up and Dave trying to figure out what the hell, pure chaos 🤣

I really love how Dave is telling buff to be careful with Paul then Paul ends up cutting Mel Gibson
Biff’s reaction in the pants gag always kills me.

He thought Dave was gona cut his pants while he was busy with Paul that's why he ran off.
I met Biff in a grocery store in Durham NC a number of years ago. It turns out that Biff grew up in Durham and had come back for a visit. I “accidentally” ended up behind him at the self-checkout lane, and we chatted a little while waiting our turn. He was just as charming and unassuming in person as he was on the show. It must have been around 2005 because Johnny Carson had recently died, and we talked about Johnny a bit. Later, I did some research and discovered that Biff was a serious tennis player in his youth. He played against and with (doubles) someone by the name of Arthur Ashe, both being youngsters at the time. In fact, Arthur stayed in the Henderson home when he was in town for tournaments. I encourage you to look up this and more about Biff. A very interesting guy.

Arthur Ashe was a vet who won a service medal as a data analyst, he played NCAA tennis, was the first black person selected for the US Davis cup team, won the the Grand Slam Singles Tennis title 3x. He was also civil rights activist being arrested in South Africa protesting apartheid and in the US for protesting the treatment of Haitians. He was a spokesperson for some public health related concerns too. I knew about Ashe (learned about him in history)... Hearing that he and Biff were friends is pretty cool.
BIFF! He’s a national treasure.

Man, I loved Biff so much on the show.
I just got through watching the Paul Shaffer 'Favorite Moments' video, and the link to this popped up at the end, and my eyes almost instantly welled up with happy tears. I didn't realize how much I missed Biff. So nice to see from people who knew or met him that he's just as nice as you'd imagined he would be.

The newest Dave vids are favorites from his staff, hosted by one producer, Barbara. They show fun videos and react. It's under " Letterman". Just funny.
I want Biff to write his memoirs

I met Biff while doing a gig at Hofstra U. maybe 20 years ago. I was a fan, and asked if he enjoyed being in front of the camera. He said, "Yea... As long as I don't look to bad doin' it!" Class act!
I was in the audience in 2014 and before the show started they showed a safety video which was presented by Alec Baldwin (who said at the beginning: "I'll keep this short, because they're not paying me"). He mentioned not to keep bags unattended and then showed Biff rummaging through all the bags! Was such a funny video and hope one day it gets shown.
What the world needs now is more Biff! My favorite walk-on “performer” on the show. Father Biff - he’s tough but he’s fair.
Biff's a gem. What a great guy!
We need way more Biffs in this world. a great man
Biff looks great.
It's like seeing old friends again.
Its good to see Biff!
Thank you so much for this. I miss Biff almost as much as I miss Dave.
We still love you, Biff. Thanks for the great memories.
Biff always added humor and entertainment to the show which put a smile on my face.
Thats what makes Conan and Lettermen for me the best. They always care about the people they work with, hell they even put them on camera!
Wow, Biff was so great in all these bits!

Worldwide Shorts! Now there's a style that could sweep the world!
Good to see you BIFF! Great memories!!!!
Here because I got to meet Biff today! I was walking with my daughter and we passed him and I immediately recognized him. A few minutes later I went back to my seat and sure enough, he was sitting right next to me. When he got off his phone I asked if he was Biff and sure enough he was!
Forever Biff.
The biff portraits were amazing. I remember wanting the sticky note one on my dorm wall.
Loved Biff Henderson. So good to see him.
Always LOVED Biff 💙💙💙

The first time in my entire life I've been so early to the comments. I dedicate this comment to Biff R. Henderson.

Letterman and Ferguson game me so many years of laughter. Thanks to them and the crews behind it all.
The difference between Dave and Johnny is that Dave included everyone and Johnny was only about Johnny and that is why my generation x loved Dave
Biff, the natural
Biff and the Superbowl trophy is hilarious
Nice to see Biff! Hope your knee is holding up, bud, thanks for the laughs.
Imagine having a job like that with the Letterman show.

Who doesn't love Biff?
We need segment where Biff is hypnotized and is instructed to laugh at every part of some bit really hard except for one part which he is supposed to hate. I think it was from a Late Show Video Special.

This is truly the most remarkable story I’ve ever heard in my life. It has the potential to be the single greatest, most thought-provoking, action packed, most extravagant story I will ever hear in my lifetime. The only thing that could’ve made it even slightly better is if you threw a buttafuoco in there somewhere. Thank you for taking the time to write that comment.

Biff was always so lovable with that damn headset on all the time lol he thought Dave was gona cut his pants while he was busy with paul, that's why he ran off.
The best Biff.
Biff 👍
In the hypnosis segment, I fully believe Biff was not faking. He would not have grabbed the camera if he was faking. And he was genuinely disoriented upon awakening.
Buff looking good
When push came to shove, Biff could bring some improv!
Loved Biffs skits. I would like to find the one where he can't stop doing the Macarena. Dave ends up taking him for a drive in the country and dumps him in the river!
He was nice enough to take a picture with me outside the Ed Sullivan theater, not too bothered as he was on his way into work.
I do miss Biff.
I wonder what the guy with the tattoos is up to these days..
Good ol’ Biff.
8:46 People respond to me similarly 😅
I always wondered about this bit that must have happened before he interviewed a self proclaimed "internet sensation"!!! lol
I think he didn’t understand all of the skits but he always made them great
I distinctly remember watching the hypnosis ("SLEEP NOW!") bit back in April '96 and legitimately thought Biff was out. I still thought that when I watched the separate video a month ago. This time, I noticed Biff clenched his fists after lying down in the chair. Now, I'm not so sure he was hypnotized. Digression: I remember the closed captioning of the 4/5/96 show miscaptioned some of Dave's "Biff?" questions. "Dave? Dave?" As long as there has been closed captioning, there have been scribes who get things wrong. With live captioning, I understand, but not for prerecorded content. And then, there KZreadrs who caption their videos and don't know "its" from "it's." End of digression.
