Please make this type of video more frequently! It is so educational to understand differences and similarities of tea types and helps deepen tea appreciation.
Penny is so cute, love her character. All of them did really well, bravo. I could learn a lot❤❤❤ and bravo to don for this setup, it must have been a lot of work to set up and film this challenge - really appreciate the effort you put into your videos❤

In Penny's defense, isn't Cloud Lake literally grown in the clouds, which has a similar effect to the shading that Japanese growers like to do?!

As a coffee educator, I always emphasize the importance of blind tasting with my students, so this was a lot of fun to watch! I've been looking for better resources for tea and I'm glad I found your channel!

Adrian's tasting notes were hilarious in this video. I had the pleasure of having him explain his notes to me in the shop the other day during a trip of mine to London - on which Mei Leaf was a delightful stop!

Such fun! Cloud Lake is my favorite under-the-radar sleeper on the site, so interesting to see how two different brewing approaches yield fairly similar results. Very cool to see how variables like temperature and brewing time affect the strength of the extraction. Love these challenges, and always learn a lot. Would definitely be down to see more of these throughout the year. I'm sure this is difficult to implement but maybe even sending out tea games to people who want to purchase and play along! Maybe for the Wednesday crew? You'd make the world's first interactive tea game show??

Huang pian is my jam. Since I am terrible at discerning the tasting notes that the Mei Leaf experts can identify, I find yellow leaves fit my needs - great puerh taste without the sticker shock. Now that said, I still buy a lot of high quality cakes, but almost all go into storage. Hopefully, someday they will WOW me! 🌱🥃🌱

"Completed 53 minutes after final clue release" That's a bummer, as I originally completed it within 15 minutes but it didn't register. I had to do it again.

Hi. It is unlikely as we have so few cakes available but if we still have some stock left after New Year then we may break up one cake for samplers.

These games would be so impossible for me, im so bad with tasting notes etc and its stressful with the time 🐌the staff were so good at finding the answers even if they struggled I'm a little jealous 😂

Loved this video! Tea competition!
Very fun and educational! Would love to see more of these. Especially if using the current catalog of teas so we can purchase and try along with. Maybe list the teas used in the video near the beginning? That way, we at home can pause and prepare tea to try with you guys. It would make understanding some of the notes easier IMO.
I think you need to drop one more additional clue next Saturday. You should've anticipated the heavy traffic that will take a toll on the site! Last year all was fine...

We bought extra capacity but clearly not enough so we doubled it and everyine could access at 13.42 so this is the new ZERO for raffle tickets.

These videos are definitely some of my most favorite. I think it would be fun to do team challenges (mainly because I want to see the tension between Adrian and George haha). Put them on the same team or different, both would be equally as entertaining.

We are taking 13.42 as our time for countdown hitting zero as this was the time that we managed to double the capacity and all users would have been able to access the final clue.
Just completed and didn't register. I have to do it again starting from the double card images :)

I once drank a puerh tea that tasted like horse dung, just rancid small and taste.. some f these chinese teas are horrible
