Stability Testing 128GB DDR5-6000

#DDR5 #RAM #Intel
The quality of your CPU is a complete lottery. some will run faster, some will run slower. The same goes for how it can adequately handle RAM. DDR5 RAM is pretty easy to run with two sticks, but when you want to load four sticks of RAM, that's when the quality of your CPU truly comes to play. The 13900 KS processor that I'm testing on the EK Quantum Delta2 TEC CPU water block is extremely fast but not as good at handling RAM as the 13900K that I'm also testing. The quality of your motherboard does help to a point. ‪@kingston‬ ‪@intelgaming‬

After three months my memory controller broke down on my premium motherboard (Asus Creator ProArt z790 wifi) with 4x 32gb Kingston 6000mhz running XMP2 5600mhz. Be aware that running this is a big strain on your memory controller. I don't think it's just being unlucky. Just go with two sticks.

I have Apacer PANTHER DDR5 6400MHz CL32 RGB as two packs of 2x16GB (64 GB in total) paired with Ryzen 9 7950X + ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-A motherboard and so far I was able to get stable 5800 MHz with 4 sticks, but I had to increase voltage to 1.45V. Memtest86 passed smoothly and temperatures remained at around 50 °C on RAMs. However doing the same with 6000 MHz lead to successful POST but memtest86 was instantly spammed by errors and crashed very soon.

Thanks for the tip, I have the same problem. I bought 2 kits of 64GB totaling 128GB, they are Kingston Fury Beast 5600MHz DDR5 Memories. They are running at a ridiculous 3600MHz when I stick the 4 memory sticks, I contacted Kingston's technical assistance and they don't know anything, it's all the other components' fault except the product sold by them, that is, they washed their hands out of it. I'll try your tip to increase the voltage since EXPO doesn't work. I have an Asus Rog Strix X670E-E motherboard and a Ryzen 9 7950X3D processor.

4 sticks is technically an overclock and will be dependent on the quality of your CPU memory controller. You can manually tune your RAM by using XMP as your starting point and work down from there until you get a stable system. Try 5400 MT/s w/ XMP 6000 MT/s settings and go from there.

My 13900K runs 6600 MT/s XMP of x2 Corsair (64 GB total) just fine. But if I insert x4 Corsair (128 GB total) than XMP 6600 will not boot. It hardly boots at 6000 and 5800, but it is very unstable and has too much memory errors. Maximum stable frequency i got is 5600 :( So I removed second pair of DDR5 sticks for better times and sitting with 64gb 6600.
