This tune is so fricking adorable I love it. The way Red Garland's fun-loving style makes me smile is the same way this tune makes me smile. This is what it's all about. Thanks Sonny.

I‘ve heard that song on a school trip in 7th grade. We were in a museum and there was THAT tv where u could press on random shit and if u are lucky this will pop up. That fckin song makes me laugh until I cry just because my teachers were so annoyed of us playing this nonstop. G.O.A.T

In some place you have marked some notes as Falls when in actual fact the notes are 'Bent'. But otherwise, terrific that you have made this great solo of Rollins available for saxophonists. Bob Downes/ Open Music

Great solo.Couple of notes I've corrected...bar 67 the 2nd C# should be a C natural(spelling out the b9 chord) & bar 92, the last quaver of this bar should be Cnat not C#..Sorry to be pedant!! Great work

I'll join you in being insufferably picky with a few others (and yes, otherwise great transcription!): Bar 23 beat 2 is F#, ghosted note in 29 I think is G, I don't hear the ghost note in 32, but in measure 33 there should be no note on beat 3 and the lower note on beat 4 should be E, measure 43 on beat 4 there's kind of another triplet on beat 4 that goes B A A# (though this idea is effectively the same), measure 46 C naturals last and note I think may be A#, 55 I would anticipate rhythmically, I think the tied into 59 doesn't match that there's a space in between the notes, in 73, there's a triplet or gliss from F# to A and the next note is G on beat 3, in 83 last note sounds like A#. On the 2nd solo, in 108 there's a slight pickup into the next measure (a B?), 119 and 120 I say good luck. 124 sounds like 2 quarter notes, 134-5 I hear turns, 139 I hear those D's C#'s and C's tied (like a quarter note triplet delayed), 140 all those notes I think are an 8th note earlier (syncopated), 144 sounds like 1/4 note triplets on back half, in 160 F# on beat 3 (not tied into) and then a tie out of the bar on the G.

compliments on bars 119-121. I gave up on that part :) Bar 67 is a little off. I believe the notes are: F# E C# A D# B G# F. I had it down at 25% speed in transcribe. Nice work

+MrSaxMyJazz You could do what they used to do in days of yore and write out yourself. I think the OP is just showing their skill set here. Thank you for the post Citizen Vicens.

Uhh, tenor sax is in the key of Bb which means that because this song is in C, concert pitch, it is the key of D for the Bb tenor sax which happens to be what Sonny Rollins plays.
