People in the comments, please stop complaining about how much donation money was received. After the hospital bills for 6 people, funeral costs, burial sites, absence of work (who knows how long until he can recover emotionally and mentally etc to properly work), getting a new place to live, starting everything from scratch again to build a life sure takes more than 500,000! Also, from the sounds of it, seems like they’re not well off to begin with since he’s the only one with income. Not your money donating, not your trauma nor did it happen to you so move along.

I am lost for words for what has happened to the Vang family with 4 of their little ones gone to soon. Also, my heart aches for the mother who knows nothing of her 4 children’s passing and having to hear such heartbreaking news when she wakes up to find out only 2/6 children’s are still with her. Such a sad tragedy that has happened to this family and a huge thank you to the Saint Paul firefighters along with good samaritans standing by who also lended out a helping hand in such a devastating time.

Idk why u all worked up over the amount of money. Trust me, I have kids and a home, I would gladly take my kids over the money. No amount of money will be able to replace the lives lost…bless all those that left and keep praying for the ones still alive..

The fire responder did say that the fire detectors was working normal in the beginning.

What does a half a million dollars do for a family that lost 4 children? I have never understood how that much money is given to have funeral services or to help a family find a place to move to. That much money could be spread out to help 10 homeless families. I am not heartless, I just think that people are foolish with money because of the emotional damage caused by the tragedy and how it is portrayed to them. If 4 adults had died in a fire, there is no way that people would send in $500,000 to help them out.

It helps not cover only a tradional Hmong funeral for the children which requires a lot but also the most likely hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dollars for the hospital bills. Use your brain a little bc you're sounding a little bitter. It's not your money you're donating so why care about the generous donations from others

The dad is indebted to more than half a million dollars in medical bills and currently homeless and living with relatives. Don’t forget, every single one of them were and still in the ICU. He only mentioned funeral costs because that is what he cares about at the moment.
