St Lucia Estuary - 12 February 2021 Exciting Beach Launches
Beach Launching has been perfected by The St Lucia Skippers. Using heavy agriculture equipment to connect via a push rod to a push plate and The Experienced Skipper and Experienced Launch master is hooked up.
a Nice firm push places the marine craft floating on the other side of the shore dump giving the skipper chance to ensure his crew is sitting tight, the motors is trimmed correctly and he can start reading/counting the waves.
Sometimes a few tight turns is needed for him to align with the gap or sometimes it's a washing machine and he needs to thumb through a wave or two.
Over the years of recording these launches I dubbed the phrase, God's Roller Coaster, for the skipper has an idea of what is coming but the crew is taken by surprise at every twist and turn.
This launch was one of those where the skill sets of The Skipper was tested and the Crew's battle with gravity was exclaimed.
Two of St Lucia's favourite skippers had their skills tested and brushed up today.. as most days is a mere walk in the Park. These 27ft marine crafts made child's play of the Rapid Set's that Poseidon presented them with.. just enough over spray to make the hearts race with a fresh flood of adrenaline pumping through the veins.
Until end of February some Tuna is expected to be caught.

Still open .. but without a sediment management plan.. it's just a death grinder . to low or to high salinity levels.. everything keeps dying.. majority of the first 7 km is over populated with Barbell.. but bo research is done..
