Her voice has that perfect airy tone for this style of gritty jazz.

She just performed at our school! Was awesome to find Sasha, definitely a fan
There is a wonderful version of this by Jonah Jones on the Fred Astaire television special (1958). Fred dances to it with Barrie Chase.
Garage band in a van, awesome, very refreshing!
Loveee Cab Calloway this is a neat take on the song

Agreed on both points. Check out Chris Jones - one of his two live concert CDs with Steve Baker features this song. Doubtless you will enjoy more than a few pieces from those CDs.

Qué bién agasajo, gracias...
Nice vibes Sasha!
This song reflects the weather outside
Man, that guitar solo fit the tune so well! While no one complains about great backing vocals, I thought it fit the mood pretty well.

A nice mashup. true to the spirit of the 16th century original.

+Jeremy Martin Actually, the American version of this song didn't appear until the 1920s. A related British folk tune appears to have originated in the 18th century. So... there you are....
banging guitar solo man
That's really good. You perform a great old Americana vibe but it's still sound fresh - nice one. Here in the UK I sometimes really ache for this kind of stuff, and you can get quite close but never quite your authenticity. I really like this an' if you ever get to the UK I'd love to put you on in my club (though we're probably a bit low rent for you - it's a night in my mate's pub). Thanks.
Nice rendition, kind of a torchy version. Loved it.
Nice!
louis armstrong. god i need to listen to that song again
Brilliant...plus she is soo darn cute
amazing and sensual voice with great beauty the perfect combination
Esse é uma vibe
Love the girl voice and she's gorgeous, but the background vocal guys! OMG!!! I fell in love with the girl beauty and her voice, but had to stop the music as the guys vocal killed me! :))) HAHAHAHAHAHA
Her voice makes this version of this song bearable.
This is great...bring it! What would you say the genre is for this music...something more definitive than just blues?
I love hou Sasha
No fuckin' idea how I managed to come across this, but through random, vigorous KZread searching, I apparently managed it. And I wasn't disappointed!
sweet.
Cool cover.
excelente
That's a very good version of that song. You should give the listeners more of that style and maybe get the success your talents deserves.
Love these versions, this song, heard some old timers do it in Devereaux still jamz, (don't ask, don't tell) and got to admit nobody I heard yet can touch within a mile of Chris Thomas King's version, and the photos on his CD after all that happened, I would cry, yet too much the floods already, best to keep a long reach and get all we can to higher ground, drown a politician ooops. and put the budget back into making tall enough the sea walls that must hold back the swells so rough, the waves that batter for the city is only a shelter and a culture, -for people and they matter more than we seem to care, so save the prayers, petitions on-line, and some key we click says we attended the rally yet only in spirit. Forget all that and lets help each other out with resources and strong hands, caring ways, and open doors, lift up our own from the killing floor, song not so sad as is spirited, song not so tragic as that we have the magic we can give rise to the healing, and that is the meaning, "no grave can hold my body down." Still and all, with best intents, I'd like to keep us above the lawns, above the flood and yet never above the love that bonds us. Humanity. Please work with thee. Blessed be. Glory be. I fell off the hanging tree, and now I am here helping with ways of healing, working actively that so much better our world can be. Do what we can, at any level. This is a song about the celebration one feels that life had given the moments to thrive. It is not to mourn death, yet to honor life. Please be well, and shine on so brightly as your spirits calls us to do so... ...and we do.
Qué buen solo gtr. Nice Guitar Solo ;)
❤️🙏🏽
Babe! What a voice!!!! & beautiful eyes!!!!
love the pbr can behind the guitar player.
The Preservation Hall Band does a good version (kinda upbeat), Louie Armstrong does my favorite somber version, but her voice and the guitarist's licks are spot on. This is an excellent version....Thanks for posting. Anyone know where to find similar guitar tabs for this...Too many out there looking for something with this tone and key.
Like sunshine after rain
🎧❤️❤️❤️❤️
este tema me re gusta...
wow
i came here after listening to pops, hugh laurie and janis......pretty good version. good crisp voice. i liked it.
Great rendition, but adding the minnie the moocher heidi's, while not a terrible idea, didn't quite work. Love the way you turned this old song into a vamp, and the female vocals, just amazing. Your backup singers should back up, and never sing again, but massive props for going different. I would've like some more of the original verses.

Definitely agree with you on that one... AMAZING cover but the skat/crowd involvement from Minnie kinda threw it off between verses

OceanSky Web Design its a 10 bar blues i believe my favorite version of this tune is Jerry Reed's give it a listen I'd put it up with luis armstrongs
her voice is so rich...
i think it is a sad story in this Blues - should probably to be interpreted a bit more dramatically - but anyway this here is good.
