@Snoi Med I mean, this episode shows that the Guild literally sends out declarations of arching, and Billy DID get a letter saying that St. Cloud declared himself Billy's. So, him breaking into the house where Billy lives (evidence of which being the broken glass), is likely enough evidence of malicious intent. Then again, the police don't get involved in Guild activities, so that's neither here nor there.

​@@Firguywith that context, the quotes should probably be around "roaches". Plenty of folks confuse the two. Most notably, people who have never ~actually~ seen cockroaches in person. They look like what you would think a roach looks like in your head, but even if you just glance at a side by side photo comparison, there is no way you'd confuse the two ever again. Kinda like the old bit from Kat Williams that a PT Cruiser (the original release version that was a convertible with the "fenderless" hot-rod look, not the minivan look that followed) looks like a Phantom "until a Phantom pulls up".

Don't forget how tall Col. Gentleman is. He's taller than the door frame behind him. Meaning he's 7 feet tall, minimum (but probably closer to 7.5 ft). And since she's only a head length shorter than him, that means, however tall the Colonel is, she's only a foot shorter than him.

We do know, however, that Gentleman's head is about even with the red-framed painting on the wall. (0:48). And at 0:23, we see that the top of the same painting is just shy of the height of the door. And we know the standard height of a door, in the real world is 6'8" Though a door like that tends to be a few inches taller. Which would put Momma Quizboy at at least 5' 10" (because the human head is just shy of a foot tall, and she is one head shorter than Gentleman at 0:43), and that St. Cloud is about a head shorter than her, meaning he's probably at MINIMUM the same height as Danny Devito (5 feet tall).

She gave birth to a guy like Billy, with a head his size and still lived. Damn right she can kick some ass.

I love that the animators managed to capture that moment everyone has experienced, the moment when at the same time they've started to realize they're talking shit to the wrong person, they can also start to actually physically _see_ the violence in how someone moves. Look at the way the colonel stands up from that chair, I've seen that exact body language before and it was when my face got rearranged like it was on the other guy's spring cleaning list. Never spar with a professional boxer.

the two biggest reasons: 1- Creators take their time to write the best possible stories. 2- Adult Swim juggles with the tight budget, expect more cuts on other series now that Rick & Morty is their golden egg goose.

remember that Gentleman was bodyguarding before the introduction of threat levels, he would go against a level 1 arch the same he would a level 9

I'd love to see a spin-off series that featured the adventures of the Original Team Venture: Jonas, Action Man, Col. Gentlemen, Rose, et al.

Rose kinda reminds me of my mom. Her dad(my granddad) was a construction worker , bounty hunter and occasional drug dealer, and her uncle was ex-paratrooper who taught her how to fight. When I was in third grade my teacher used to beat my ass all the time cause she didn't like me. This show is FILLED TO BURSTING with badass women of all ages!

I now hold Rose in the same high regard I have for all the old hero’s Also that’s a simultaneously badass and hilarious line!

I love that Colonel Gentleman is into embroidery.

He ran with Jonas Venture in his prime, so this probably doesn’t even crack the top 1000 weirdest things he has ever seen.

We've had several hints at this point that Rose used to be some kind of field agent or maybe event a part of team Venture at some point. I hope we get to see her in her prime soon.

I think she used to be a hero called Triple Threat. I base that on a flashback in episode in season 5 where team Venture had to fight their crushes. Rodney said he had a crush on triple threat, and her mask is similar to roses glasses.

They pretty much spell out she was Triple Threat. Rodney said he was attracted to her because she didn't do any extra-marital stuff and it was an opposites attract thing. Col Gentleman was surprised that he was attracted to her. Oh and also we know rose is a good dancer, and in show business a "Triple Threat" is someone who can act, dance, and sing.

Don't know if this has been mentioned yet but by letting St. Cloud take the first swing on her, anything she does to him afterwards is considered self-defense assuming that wasn't already established given he broke in.... badly. Rose made it so if St. Cloud was dumb enough to take her up on that offer, she couldn't be charged with assault or any other felony assuming she didn't kill or maim the guy.

And as the police shows up, Rose kindly shows them her credentials and they just nod at each other, get a stretcher for St Cloud and offer to clean up the broken glass.

Been awhile when I last watched Venture Brothers but somehow they always make these ridiculous hero and villain fights worth watching every time.

I just noticed Horus is reading Rosey Grier's needlepoint book.

Breaking in to attack a rival and getting their Momma as the "answering machine". Damn St. Cloud, you just want to die today. Rule 1, when someone's Momma is going to bust you up, just apologize for bothering her and get the hell out of there.

i love how well these lines are structured, "i am here to bust things up and chew bubble gum, and i find bubble gum unpleasant" sc failed that line in the right way, and then the twist with billy's mom being fisty despite the fact that that is not what an old lady is meant to be like the best real world example would be that ex militairy combat instructor in his seventies beating up a teen intruder that threathened him

Did the Monarch and 21 know the brownstone was full of ex Team Venture members when they sent him in? I'm not sure whats funnier, them outside reacting with horror or them outside laughing their asses off.

as a young guy that unfortunately has arthritis (rheumatoid does not care how old you are) i've actually gotten to use that line it was hilarious and it stopped a fight.

I’m guessing Rodney is still down and out from the stroke.

Orpheus said back in an early episode that he was gonna die from a stroke. He held his hands and way like 2 years something weeks......a stroke.

It's like Batman and Catwoman sorta relationship, one wouldn't marry the other and worry about them. Both know they can handle themselves and St.Cloud even screwed up a simple 'entrance through the window' trope.

It's a good thing Action Man wasn't here, otherwise he'd either be dead or in the ICU

This whole episode was like that for me.

Elderly Squad Goals

Colonel gentleman put him down and backs away. "You're in for quite the pummeling now sonny" The beating the old superhero was going to give him was actually going to be less than what he's going to take now. That right there says everything that needs to be said about Rose. Rose could probably take Brock Samson with little effort.

Never ever angry elderly mom

Breaking into that house was the very definition of fucking up.

Character defining moment of awesome.

So many subversions of expectations. BRILLIANT show.
