Want to try SSTV by yourself?
How to?

1. Pause this video
2. Start your SSTV decoder application on your mobile phone (below links to some decoding apps)
3. Start "Receive" or "Decode"
4. Make sure that the mode is set to "PD120" (or "Automatic")
5. When ready, un-pause this video and start to decode
* this is a 2 minutes test

it was my 1st sstv image indeed. nice arrow antenna btw 😂 i will start building one for ham satelittes 👍🏼

Thanks for your feedback and I'm happy that you saw the antenna ;) I built few satellite antennas and I just finished to build the best antenna that I have so far and it's very easy. My plan is to create a video about that soon. Good luck and 73!

@@reHamRadio That would be great! Please also give info about how to arrange the SWR. All the videos are about building the antenna but i could't find any info regarding SWR.

Hi Rob, I'm sorry with the delayed response. From time to time there are SSTV events. For example, there was an experiment few days ago: "MAI-SSTV experiment Jan 28 and 29 Moscow Aviation Institute will be operating SSTV for a few passes that overfly Moscow on Jan 28 and 29. It is anticipated this will be the recent used PD-120 mode and will be on the 145.800 MHz. Times for the experiment are currently scheduled as follows: Jan 28 - Setup starts at 12:10 UTC and transmissions stop at 17:15 UTC Jan 29 - Transmissions start at 13:10 and experiment concludes at 18:05 UTC" My suggestion: try to visit the AMSAT website, follow AMSAT on twitter and join the AMSAT facebook page. They are updating these channels all the time. I hope it helps, 73.

As far as I understand, the EasyPal will be able to receive SSTV, but it's a bit different software as it support error correction, unlike SSTV.
