Oh. That's interesting! I only have an stereo EQ for m/s insert, but hearing a compressor effect used as a m/s on the fusion is cool. ^_^

크... ms로는 안써봤는데 역시 좋네요.insert는 신의 한수 같습니다. 한참 보다보니 레벨매칭이 틀어진 페어는 ms로 사용이 더 좋을것 같다는 생각도 듭니다.

Hi, I’m planning on hooking up my Tegeler Creme with the Insert of the SSL Fusion. I‘ve connected the Tegeler Creme Outs to the Left and Right Inserts of the Fusion. Do I also have to connect the Insert Returns from the Fusion to the Tegeler? Or will it work without doing that? Thanks in advance!!!

Without level matching, it's just a waste of time as any signal that is louder will sound better to human ears. I know people before me commented on this, but I'm tellig you that you're fooling yourself if you're not level matching when you're mixing or mastering

  • @AndrewCCM

Not exactly. As in this demo you can clearly hear the mid/side changes (granted louder than the normal L/R, but the difference is obvious either way).

Instead of left/right, the signal is split by the fusion into mid and sides. A compressor is inserted into the fusion so that mid and sides can be treated differently with compression. At least that's what the title implies. I think you need to hold down a button for 2 secs to get the fusion mid/side mode.

Do you have these symptoms? I seem to have problem with SSL FUSION. When I remove the pen DRIVE counterclockwise, I have small noise, and in the right channel it more than on the left! This is clearly seen if put an L2 limiter on the DAW master section, and turn the limiter all the way. I urgently need to find out because my SSL FUSION is still under warranty!

The drive circuit is noisy... part of the circuit. I just gate it off to prevent it from being noticeable during intro/outros... OR... if a particularly dynamic song, turn it off.

First off, that groove, that bass line, that beat are funky as F! Absolutely love the music. Second, this is the best unit demo still to this day because it touches on the most advanced feature that no other video does and this in depth. All the various M/S flavors demonstrated were so vibey and creative. Nice job. That gives owners a lot of flexibility using additional outboard unit inserts. Lastly, thanks for showing the unit sit musically at the recommended 9-15 level output and some more. It all sounds great. There are plenty of level matched vids on this that don't give as much real value as this does for me to actually see and hear the advanced features and the extremes it can get to and know where to dial back for my own taste. Haters gonna hate, because they can't relate, so they don't appreciate the dope rhymes that I kick. Booiiiiieeee!!

I have no idea what you're referring to...The purpose was to show how the insert in Mid/Side mode can be used. Made total sense. I use it all the time and exaggerated moves in a demo help people understand more clearly than subtle moves that barely come across on KZread.
