Little fancy improvement is to change the warning and danger levels of the air alarm. So as long as oxygen is in the room it will be red or yellow for warning.

Thanks litten, while it was fun for a bit when someone would set up a box box and filter out only nitro so I just die, it will be good to not die in med because a assistant didn't know why I needed a mask

Can't wait for people to unwrench distro pipes at 4500kpa because I'm refilling after breaches

The game doesn't usually allow me to unwrench pipes at high pressure

It atmos set the pipes for high pressures and you don’t want to flood an area with the contents, placing a Holofan over the pipe before you disconnect it prevents it from spilling its contents. This is also good if you need to do maintenance and edits on, say, a plasma pipe.

Great idea! Placing some "checkpoints" for the vox to breathe and putting N2 in their tanks is really a good thing.

It would be a good idea for med to set up vox boxes so that they can be more easily treated. In fact, maybe stations with virology departments could be repurposed to do this.

For the airlock id reccomend using a multitool to make it so it bolts one door when the other is open. Its a small thing but it keeps people from rushing out too fast

A couple recommendations, to ensure atmosphere purity place a scrubber in between the airlocks so opening the doors has minimal impact on the rest of the room. Second thing, with the gas filter you want to filter nitrogen and hook up to the side port, that way if someone messes up distro you will be fine as the rest of the erroneous gases will continue along distro, leaving you with just pure N2.

You can also connect the side port of the gas filter to distro, It's just oxygen anyway, it belongs into distro. On fland in the bar, it is easier to just hook it up to distro again. It looks a bit goofy, but it works and doesn't waste oxygen

My typical setup is pick a room, build a scrubber and vent, then a filter on distro and siphon N2, and set the scrubber to panic mode to scrub O2 as fast as it can. Also making an airlock setup is a must to try to keep as much O2 out and N2 in as possible. Doing airlocks is extremely common in my experience seeing others build Vox boxes as well

i haven't tested myself, but is there anything stopping you from setting up a double ended disposals chute from going in and out of the box? IIRC those shouldn't vent air between them so this could help keep the air pure without an airlock door, with it being comparatively cheaper as well (especially for greytiders, who can just Strategically Transfer the Equipment to an Alternate Location)

Ironically with just plasma, those vox would sooner die of plasma inhalation than cooking alive, you need at least 10% oxygen to get a decent plasma fire. Since it's just N2, no fire. If ya gonna cook the vox, make sure to put trit mix in there: 98% O2, 2% plasma.

2tips for airlock you can make doors bolt when opened to not waste atmosfere and my favourite snip timer wire i personaly dont want to click everytime on door to close behind me and it makes harder to jam

i just re ciculate the o2 back into distro easy simple and doesnt need a tank and ya only need the vent to be in the room also a multitool can link air networks you can also like em to a fire door if the mix isnt correct, also id add a gas sensor only because it can help the air alarm, and for the air lock to protect and defend against dummies use a multitool to link the doors and set the door to close and hold bolt so one is bolted when one is open

@@Laikafan02 yeah, Medicines are easy to administer, but there’s no real way to eat with a breath mask. Without a box and how hard it is for medical to heal Toxin damage, it’s safer for a Vox to eat in the void of space and take the pressure and oxygen damage than eat anywhere else in the station.

Eating and drinking can all be done through a syringe as well. If you can digest animal protein you can just use blood for food iirc. If not, slime is nutrients (unless this was changed) and you can mainline water as well. Vox box is cooler but this is helpful for salvers ​@@crowsenpai5625
