Being bipartial (since I like both equally), the only disadvantage in weight there is would be the flip up headlights, but it's fairly minimal (20-30 lbs). Provided they are optioned similarly, any discrepancy would be in the driver. Since 4th gens are over 10 years old, there's the vast array from pristine to ragged, from mild to wild.

I think we all knew who was winning as soon as we saw that Chevelle.

I thought it too at first, but if you start the vid @ 1:35 and tap the space bar to pause frequently you can see both cars lift up simultaneously. With the camera being where it is makes it seem like he got the jump on the cam but they both jumped, and if he did go before him its not enough to matter. HE WON.

aaron horne I just hate fanboys (all kinds may I add) who think that just because one import beats a muscle car that it means something, vice versa. Yeah it's probably way cheaper than a brand new mustang, it's a brand new car what do you expect? Civics aren't exactly hard (money wise) to make fast considering they weigh nothing and assuming the owner and/or builder knows what they are doing. EX: Look up the civette, LSx powered civic that shits on muscle cars with the same class of motor, runs just fine. I'd personally rather build something else because well I have personal preferences and I don't really care for civics or any sport compact type car. Not denying that I have seen very well done EG/EK hatchbacks but all that is besides the point. There are plenty of budget builds out there for most cars made before 2000, hell some even after the new millenium. I'm not just talking about japanese cars, that includes muscle cars and european cars. Speaking of mustangs, most of the fastest ones you'll see at the track or meets are the 80's/early 90's foxbodies and you can get those for just about as cheap if not cheaper than a civic, again not trying to say one is better than the other. I praise those foxbody mustangs as a camaro guy, why you ask? Because I appreciate all cars, including well built imports. I'm a car guy, it's what car guys do. It's not about having the fastest, or the loudest, or whatever the hell it is people get into pissing contests over at car meets/street races. It should be about sharing the same passion for cars that others share. But that's a rare quality these days, this video proves that. Racing for money, even though deep down it's just two douchebags trying to have a pride piss off.
