This kind of collaboration is the best thing that's happened for Top Fuel racing in a long time. I don't think people realize how high the stakes are in T/F, and the pressure these guys are under, it's cool to see them have fun again. Great advertising for Parts Plus, Clay is such a cool dude and the McFarland crew brings a whole different energy to the sport! I don't think it will be long before we see Cleetus in a T/F rail. The sky is NOT the limit for this guy. The man is a MASTER at marketing his brand and the best thing is that everyone around him wins too.

If Clay has already been talking to Rick about building a dragster for Cleetus to get his license in, you can BET YOUR BANK ACCOUNT they will make it happen!! It might cost $50-100k to get it done, but Cleetus, Clay, and Rick will get it done!! GUARANTEED!! And you can't help but just LOVE how excited Clay and Lutz are about stuff like this!! Cleetus is damn sure thrilled, but Clay managing to get Rick to let it happen..... That guy was literally on top of the moon for happy and excited!! Both about his 3.68 pass and going by Ruby close to half the speed of sound!! Videos like this with a BUNCH of guys in on it, and all of them excited and fired up about it, is what will keep this sport going strong for a long time to come!! I only wish someone would help Jeff Lutz get his videos to record in a higher format. He keeps uploading them at 360p for some reason.

Nitro meth fuel bumps the horsepower to insane numbers. That motor on race gas is probably making 1500hp. With nitro its making 7500hp

@@tedsteiner The top fuel guys rebuild their motors after every run. Cleet made multiple nitro runs in a stock vehicle on the dyno and it doubled the horsepower and didn't blow up.

This was by far one of the funnest videos I’ve seen in a while! Everyone just had a good time, no serious racing, nothing. That was a blast to watch!

I cant stop watching the clip at 14:52 it just helps put in perspective the difference in speed. Some of the other angles dont do it justice like this one imho.

I went to Atlanta Dragway back in the late 1980's when these top fuel dragsters were only making 6000 hp. But sitting in the stands they are so loud they shake your insides. It is hard to describe how loud they are.

When Clay is blasting by while Cleetus is giving Ruby everything she’s got, the energy being thrown off that dragster is so powerful that it pushes Cleetus (and Ruby) forward as he goes by. Absolutely unreal. You can clearly see the moment it happens. 😵😵👍🏻😎👍🏻

This is such a BANGER!! Garrett, on a serious note, *thank you for letting Clay put Dalton's sticker next to Neighbor Ed on Ruby.* This may just be the best video you've ever produced.

I've seen videos of these things run before, but that perspective out of Ruby's side window was something else, I don't even have words to describe it. The engineering and skill to build it is crazy, but the sheer skill and talent to control it down the track.... He went past Cleetus like a bullet... I am in absolute awe of those guys. Forget flying jets or rockets... These guys are driving a really large bullet on a road between 2 walls... They are superhuman. I had so much fun watching this it's making me emotional lol.

That would be a very slow bullet that you could easily see flying through the air. They are only moving at 484 feet per second, which is half of common lower powered pistol bullets. Faster pistol bullets and most rifle bullets break the speed of sound and cause the crack you hear. My 460 magnum revolver will spit them out at 1,636 mph. It did make Cleetus look like he wasn't moving and what is even more impressive is the acceleration at both ends of the track. How many people have to worry about damaging their eyes from the deceleration when they get off the throttle of their ride?

@@CGT80 yeah I know my analogy is incorrect.... If a bullet had wheels and had to overcome surface friction as well as air resistance it would be much much Slower than that dragster.... It wouldn't need 1 bigger explosion to propel it fast enough, it would need 8 of them happening really fast over and over just to keep up, and if it wants to win it needs some really sticky slicks and a big ass wing lol. Not sure how you fit a driver in a bullet so it can steer in a straight line though. lmao

Clay is a real class act. Always has a smile on his face, kind to everyone, humble.. we need more guys like this in the racing scene! 1320 did a breakdown of his crew and what actually goes into these top fuel cars a year or two ago, worth the watch if you want to learn more about it

​@@MillionairXdo you agree George should get the blazer tuned on nitro idk if he kept the belt but it still looks good to use George might need a bigger pulley system for it id love to id love to see crazy nitrous build on a new car or the cars in the fleet get tuned on nitro it would be really cool to see

What an icon to look up to in racing with Clay, dudes started racing a 16 won a SHIT ton, got rich off actually racing and winnin. Just read he lost his 22 year old son to a motorcycle accident in 2015. He’s got the biggest smile and most fired up outta anyone in those pits. Beautiful to see.

A real fun video. That dragster guy is the definition of southern hospitality. Love the awesome racing vibe he puts off. Favorite part besides seeing Ruby's doors blown (sorry Ruby), was all the guys stripping that dragster engine. Way to many freedom eagles in this vid :)

That Top Fueler went by Cleetus like a Nuclear Explosion, and kill his electronics, Excellent Video!... 👍
