The 350-metre (1,150-foot) Lotus Tower built for an estimated US$113 million has been plagued by corruption claims since construction began in 2012 and eventually every Sri Lankan Tax payer will be paying the money for the huge cost of building in it, and maintaining the Lotus Tower, and for paying the huge debt amount to China to build it, although every Sri Lankan citizen may not be able to afford to visit and see from the observation tower and eat from the restaurant even though the local ticket price is very much cheaper than the ticket price for Foreign Tourist. So the amount collected on the sale of entrance tickets to Foreign Tourists is a big help for the country of Sri Lanka and it's tax paying citizens to help pay up the loan to China and bear the cost of maintenance of Lotus Tower. It's nice to see that you both visited and went up the Lotus Tower and enjoyed the food at the Restaurant and were able to share those moments on this video on KZread @travelwithbalnur. 👍

Of course it's worth it. You are eating in a revolving restaurant on the 27th floor of a tower with spectacular views. That sumptuous buffet alone never mind the location , would cost you at least three times as much in Europe.

$30 per person? We pay $13 per Mac burger in the USA! And you got a never ending buffet for $30 per person with a majestic view at a rotating sky tower restaurant.

this isn’t the best buffet in sri lanka. try the buffets of some star graded hotels like Hilton, cinnamon and very specially Shangrilla. and they are much cheaper than the lotus tower buffet too. lotus tower charges more for its unique rotating and location experience.

We paid only for buffet 30$ per person. If don’t go to observation part you don’t need to pay 20$. For buffer you gave reserve one day before. 👍

This is not the most luxurious restaurant...its just like any other plc in Colombo city...the main difference being its 350 meters above ground...wish these youtubers fact checked before speaking😊

20 dollars too much cost. They losing people very expensive..

I used to think only Sri Lankan girls acted a certain way when asked out on a date. But now I see that girls from all over Asia behave similarly in these situations.🤣🤣🤣

Its very cheap compare to sume other country top hotels

Locals pay enough tax and they also poor to pay 20$.rs500 for a local is fair price.but if u are a foreigner,all around the world,tower tickets are similar price.if u don't feel worth for money, avoid it without comparing prices. tourism is a business.not a free give away party.
