Squirrels are loving creatures. Unless you have raised a squirrel, you can’t comprehend how much they accept and give back loving care. Stella knows she can go be free and wild, but she chooses you because of your loving friendship.

Squirrels seem so smart. I love seeing the ones who were rescued and quickly wormed their way into their humans’ hearts.❤️❤️❤️

They stay with their parents for [edited for correction] 12 weeks, which is incredibly long for most small mammals, including rodents. That's often considered a sign of more clever species, as they need the extra time for teaching and learning, not just instinctual behavior.

@@sloanekuria3249 They also don't open their eyes until about 5 weeks, which is another sign of an intelligent animal. If they need extra time to develop after being born, that's correlated with intelligence.

Best story for sure! I should say one of the best stories but he and Stella are both fabulous and adorable! This big guy worries about this little squirrel goes back checks on her and they both said that’s it, we’re besties for life! She comes in and out knows her safe space! Out of the rain, something happens to scare her a bully squirrel say and she’s running home to the the big guy her hero😇

I absolutely love squirrels and contrary to how the grey squirrel can be vilified by some, i personally think that they enrich our environment. 'Man' is the biggest threat on planet earth not the precious grey squirrels.

I rescued a baby squirrel from the jaws of our barn cat. His eyes weren't even opened yet! We brought him home,bottle fed him and gave him free-range of the house..."Rocky"soon became a beloved family member,never ceasing to amaze us with his comical actions. When Rocky became around 9m.o.,he became restless and sadly, we knew it was time... We took him outside and without time for teary goodbyes, he jumped off me n took off like a bat outta hell!! He never came back and I knew he was ready for some lady-squirrel companionship💕. I will never forget the little guy.. and the joy he brought into our lives.❤🌠🌞🌈

I had a squirrel - Squirrelina - she lived for 8 years - no vet would help me with her teeth 😢 Best lil girl ever, she loved her belly rubs 💘

Squirrels are SEVERELY misunderstood animals.. They CAN do a lot of damage to buildings, but usually in the quest for a place they can call home. They're also pretty good at chewing up any home you give them, BUT they are ALSO extremely loving and LOYAL to those who help them. If you can deal with your walls (and several other things) being chewed, they DO make good pets, but you DO need to be prepared for what they can do you may not WANT them to do. The BEST option if you rehab one, is to reintroduce them to the wild as soon as possible.

That squirrel wants to move in with the humans.

I found one about 3 years ago now. She was on the ground nowhere near any tree with her eyes closed still. I bottle fed her every 3hrs. Now she runs my house 😂. I got 2 southern flying squirrels since I found Krimpet (grey squirrel). I'm a roofer and I uncovered a nest in a roof and the adult flyers fled when we ripped the roof off. We sealed the hole where they were living and I left the 2 babies in a box near where the best was and the next morning they were still in it so I immediately bottle fed them and brought them home. Now I have 2 flyers and a grey squirrel that use me as their tree. The bond I have with them is the most amazing thing I have ever experienced in my life. I owe them my life

She's not stupid. Knows she has the good life and not fighting for survival.

Squirrels are awesome little animals! I grew up with a pet Squirrel named Frisky. She was my constant companion growing up and lived almost 14 years. I rescued, raised, rehabbed and released many Squirrels, chipmunks and all manner of other animals throughout my life but Frisky will always be special to Mr. I still miss her 30+ years later.

I had a squirrel has a pet more than 40 years ago … she was potty trained, she will only go on a shoe box that was in my bedroom lined with newspaper. She was so smart, i still keep her in my ❤.

How freaking cool is that. I have around 6 to 7 squirrels in my yard I feed but can't get nearly close to any of them. The babies a little more than the adults.

From Buffalo, NY. Hey Pal, I have squirrels coming to my house. When I see them in a tree in front of my house I gently rap on the window with my fingernails and they hear it n come running. I toss them shelled peanuts and now they keep coming back. Now every morning about 7:30 I leave some peanuts on the front porch and they come n grab them. Great video you did Pal.

I raised several orphaned baby squirrels when I was a child but by the time they reached adulthood they wanted to go back into their natural life.

She's a beautiful lil squirrel! I feed 2 lil babies, that seemed to be without their moms, to help them thru the freezing Michigan winter. I love them so much, but even thou they come right to my bedroom window (if they need more Walnuts), but ALWAYS run away as soon as I get out there!! 🥺 This guys is super lucky as is she!!!

Squirrels will imprint on you. Years ago there was this momma squirrel that I first gave peanuts to. Whenever I went out to the back yard she would show up for peanuts. I fed her every day and she would show up at the same time for them. One day I was inside the house and left the screen open. I had forgotten to feed her and when I remembered I found her in the middle of the living room looking at me. I laughed and gave her her peanuts. She let me pet her and became a family member although she always stayed outdoors.

Stella feels safe with you. You saved her and. Importantly, you got rid of the fleas😂😂😂

We've been there, done that 😂. My som named ours Spock. As in Mr. He never had a cage. Just a box with a towel, some twigs. We raised him from a hairless eyes closed baby. He became part of the family in 0 time flat. We know exactly how you feel 😂😂😂❤

My brothers and I raised a baby Fox Squirrel many years ago. She had fallen out of her nest. We kept her about 2 years and one day we came in from school and she was gone. Her place was on the back screened in porch mostly because she chewed on my piano.
