I would have said it's more about the absurdity of a capitalistic society, and how we're so quickly at ease with such a cutthroat culture for those who are less fortunate. The Squid Games in many ways just strikes me as a direct metaphor for capitalism.

@@neil2444 It's actually a critique of communism. How even trying to level the playing conditions for everyone results in an even worse situation for all.
Great reactions, guys. Just one nitpick about the audio clipping a lot. Please pay attention to the levels, to see they don't go into the red.
I think some of the games that weren’t ‘counted’ were the mind games. Like the game to vote whether they should continue playing or not was ONE of the games. Don’t quote me on this tho

Squid Game Episode 2 is an indication of how the contestants will die in the future. Ki-hoon, the main character, bet his mother on him when he came out of the game, telling her to untangle him, resulting in his dying mother. Sang-woo, he tried to kill himself in the bathroom and actually took his own life in episode 9. Deok-soo, No. 101, jumps on a bridge and falls off the bridge with Han Mi-nyeo and dies in episode 7. At Kang Sae-byeok, she threatened a broker by putting a knife in the neck and is actually stabbed to death in the neck in episode 8.
