    Man, I wish I saw these 5 pillars when I started squatting again two years ago, I've been stuck and had very unconfident squats sessions. Even when at my working weight the weight felt extra heavy even before descending. Watched your video at 2am, and wanted to go try but waited till today. I moved my grip further in on the bar, getting my back as tight as possible, now even un-racking the weight feels much lighter and stronger. Then implement the breathing bracing, this was night and day difference. Before I was breathing and bracing, but not as hard as you explained, I guess I was more holding my breath in my stomach, again I feel much stronger when bracing harder, and last squat everything like 135. Thanks again keep up the videos!!!! Where do I get me some Juggernaut Gear!!!

    Hey Chad, When you walk the weight out, are we looking down to make sure our feet is even? Or should we keep looking forward and practice placing our feet at the same place, hopefully even, everytime? Cause I think my hips are uneven and my legs tend to be staggered, yet it feels normal!

    1:48 Head: Neutral Position 2:24 Create even pressure by pushing your upper back into the bar and with feet into the floor out of the hole. Maximize both strength of the legs and back as you lift weight.

    I personally don't push into the bar with my upper back. I push up into the bar with my arms like im doing a OHP. I think which one u chose to do is dependent on how high or low bar you squat Because generally high bar squatters want their arms vertical whilst low bar squatters want their arms in line with their back angle. That changes the cue

    Can I ask, does it matter if the bar is slightly squint, as in you have more surface of the bar on your left shoulder for example and if someone looked at you side on the weights in the other side would look closer to your front?

    coach i tend to look slightly down when i low bar squat around (60 degrees) and about neutral when high bar squat and i look slightly up when front squatting about 30 degrees. is this normal and why do you think i feel more balanced with different head position when the bar is in different position

    how so? This is quite different in the fact that SS always mentions your head should be down, and that you should drive from your hips out of the squat. Over here, he says drive with the shoulders and keep head up/neutral... not sure who to believe.

    It’s not very clear to me whether this is a high bar squat or low bar squat demonstration. It sounds like these are cues for the high bar but at 3:30 the vertical line that represents the bar path is behind the barbell and more where the bar would be placed in a low bar squat over the midfoot. Is she doing high bar squats?

    Is the cue to 'push the upper back' into the bar when coming out of the hole meant for high bar squats and the cue to 'drive with your hips' (starting strength) meant for low bar squats?

  • @JuggernautTrainingSystems

    @JuggernautTrainingSystems

    4 жыл бұрын

    Push with the upper back doesn't really come into play for high bar, that is a cue more for low bar. I wouldn't suggest thinking about driving the hips up first.
