No regrets here. I will say that it takes a while to get used to. It has a "disconnected" feeling because it is so easy to turn.

How's it going my friend. Good to see you putting out a video! I haven't done anything with any substance in a while because we are building a house and are in between residences right now but....I am also building a workshop and it's going to be awesome!!! Should be done around Feb/March. Anyway, great video and great explanation of the hydraulic steering. I'm a big fan of PSC products and have a PSC box on my Jeep and my Camaro. I actually bought a kit from them to build my own high pressure line which wasn't that bad at all and no issues to date. Anyway, glad to see the update on the truck. I know I still owe you a shout out!! JD

Congratulations on the new house and shop 🥳. The rewards of hard work. I'm glad you liked the video. I think it was a little bit of a "lecture" but I was asked a few questions about it, so I tried to be somewhat detailed. No stress on the shout out. I need to stop being shy and pump out some videos. I'm not too far away from starting on my single cab (Bob). My plans are ridiculous 😅.

Think leaving the Tie Rod from left to right is a great idea. Its redundancy and allows the steer ram to steer and the tie rod to tie the 2 wheels. My only gripe is the worm drive clamps with long tails on the push lok hose instead of ear clamps meant for hydraulic/push lok but it is a great build.

full hydro steering can be deadly on the highway if the hose blows at highway speeds you have no steering in my state on road there must be some mechanical connection IE steering box to pitmen arm and you add hydro assist it works just as good. thanks for sharing

The aluminum clamps came frome PSC steering. The metal bracket that the cylinder mounts to. That is from Barnes 4x4.

Have you looked into a 12 volt hydraulic steering backup system for it in the event the truck ever stalls out?

@ReshardsAutomotiveWorkshop just thinking your son life is important. They use the system on rear steering type setups but a 12 volt pump on a isolated battery circuit with the proper fluid flow would be great with a flow sensor on the power steering engine driven side of the system will also help to move truck in the event the engine dies.

Thanks. Legally, it's a gray area. We actually need to replace the orbital valve with one that moves slower. The steering is too quick. Very twitchy.

@@ReshardsAutomotiveWorkshop don't you get scared by the fact that hydraulics may fail (hope it doesn't happen). airplanes operate with hydraulics too but they have 3 independent hydraulic lines and if one fails still has 2 more to go to completely lose control. in your case, if pump's belt rips, means no steering 😰🤕

It would not be instant failure. You would feel it going out.
