Some interesting history for you, Squad would not exist the way it does if Battlefield never existed. Project Reality, the precursor to Squad, was a mod made using Battlefield 2. Anyone who has played the older battlefield games knows a piece of battlefield is always in Squad with the spawn menu, squad joining menu, and map

@@botdetector9494i would want then to double the size of the maps and player count for that to be a thing. a lot of games that add stuff like that dont balance the amount of infantry to vehicles well enough. arma is a great example where unless you have like 65-70 players on one team the vehicles are just too common compared to the infantry

Moments like these are why I love this game. It's even better when you are SL so you get to hear all of the radio chatter too which really maps up the immersion

This game is called "Squad". The cinematics are, in fact, phenomenal! This game is worth upgrading your CPU, graphics card and RAM. Having done all three, I get well over 120fps. I play with all graphics and audio maxed-out. For those interested in this game, it is NOT like Battlefield or Call of Duty. It is squad-based and relies heavily on voice communications. Coordination and communication between your 9-person squad and amongst the other squads is key to winning a game/round. There are over 20 maps with half being HUGE. Not only do you have typical nfantry roles (Squad Leader, Rifleman, Medic, Marksman, Squad Automatic Rifleman, Heavy Automatic Rifleman, Light Anti-Tank, Heavy Anti-Tank, and Engineer, but you also have the flowing vehicles: logistics, light infantry, heavy armor (tanks), anti-aircraft, mortars, "Technical" machine gun vehicles, "Technical" Rocket trucks, TOW/Koronet and helicopters. Each game/round can have a single Commander who has the following assets at his/her disposal: UAV, Creeping Barrage Artillery, Static Barrage Artillery, A-10/SU-24 Air Strikes, F/A-18 Air Strikes and even UAVs delivering IEDs! As Insurgents, you can place IEDs on any of the vehicles including motorcycles, there by creating VBIEDs. Each game/round can last up to 2 hours and pits 50 players vs 50 players (or fewer) with the following factions: US Army, US Marines, Canadian Military, British Military, Australian Military, Insurgents, Russian Military, Irregular Militia (European) and a Middle Eastern Alliance. It’s not a full 1080x1920. If it was, you wouldn’t see the helicopter blowing up. It cut too much so I zoomed out a bit for the clip. That’s why it looks the way it does.

good game, but I would still make some changes into more hardcore. Things like spawning behind enemy lines thanks to squad leader placing a spawn point..and then being killed from where there should be no enemy. That is still very arcadish a

As someone who just got into squad, its great and very tactical, battlefield games have always been more cinematic and action packed but 2042 killed the series for me. i must say squad is my new favorite shooter for the fact that its by far a much more realistic, team communication and strategic planning is by far the best i ever seen. It can be very slow pace at time but when things get hot it feels alot more intense.

You just haven't seen the bug where the helicopter just floats there

Yes, but i dont like helicopter ragdoll in squad. When the heli was flying fast and its destroyed parts stoping in place and falling straight down looks weird.

Every game has a place imo, it may not be everyone’s cup of tea though. Battlefield is a vastly different experience than Squad so comparing the 2 is apples to oranges within the shooter genre. Without battlefield, Squad doesn’t exist as the Project Reality mod (precursor to Squad) was built off of Battlefield 2
